"A Powered Exoskeleton? I think I've heard that term before."
Kizaru rubbed his chin thoughtfully with one hand, though his other hand kept firing light bullets at Loa.
As the Admiral in charge of the Marine Science Unit led by Sentomaru, Kizaru was bound to have heard of it, thanks to Vegapunk. Of course, what he knew was probably a heavily modified version tailored to local needs.
Whether he had heard of it or not, Loa had only called it that. The name sounded impressive, but the thing itself was basically a prosthetic.
The idea had come to him during his trip to the North Blue.
The North Blue's most famous claim to fame was probably the Vinsmoke Family, the family of Sanji, that lecherous chef.
And the Vinsmoke Family was best known not for its war business, but for its human modification technology.
With that technology, the Vinsmoke Family had once ruled the North Blue by force and become feared far and wide.
Of course, Loa's Exoskeleton was nowhere near as powerful as their high-tech equipment. It was something he had thrown together for fun.
It couldn't enhance his agility or strength, and prolonged use would even leave him with lasting injuries because of its flawed construction.
But with Loa's formidable recovery, that wasn't a problem.
Right now, his body couldn't move at all, making this the perfect time to use it.
Hearing Kizaru mutter to himself, Loa quickly got the hang of the controls. He made the Ice Armor move his body and flipped backward, dodging the dense barrage of light bullets hurtling toward him.
"Tsk. Ignorance is a terrible thing. How did someone like you end up in charge of the Science Unit?" Loa shook his head as though lamenting the fact.
Crack!
A vein bulged on
