Everyone had thought that once Kizaru stepped up his assault, Loa would quickly fall.
But to the surprise of Kizaru, the entire Navy, and everyone watching the Live Broadcast, Loa not only held out against his relentless attacks—he seemed to grow more energetic the longer they fought!
Kizaru deliberately targeted Loa's joints, smashing the Ice Armor on his left leg to pieces. He had expected that to stop Loa from dodging, but to his surprise, the leg that had been immobile just minutes ago could move again!
And it was nearly as fast as it had been before the injury.
"So what's going on?" Kizaru muttered. "Is he absorbing my light to heal himself?"
"No, that's not it." Looking at the craters his light spheres had blasted into the ground, Kizaru quickly dismissed the idea. "Loa has the Ice Dragon Fruit. It has nothing to do with my Devil Fruit Powers."
Then where did the problem lie?

Suddenly, Kizaru felt as though he had caught a clue. He pushed his Observation Haki to its limit, straining to sense everything around him.

Loa was sent flying by another of Kizaru's attacks and slammed against the Ice Wall at the edge of the Plaza. But he quickly struggled free, pushed off the wall, and dodged Kizaru's next attack.

"What's that?!" Kizaru's eyes widened as he stared at an unnatural gouge in the Ice Wall.
A moment later, an odd smile curled his lips. "I see. I've got you now, Loa!"
Loa had no idea Kizaru had discovered his secret. At that moment, he was almost excited.
Whoa, what luck! He knocked me right into the Ice Wall!
The ice Kuzan had created contained not a trace of Magic Power. For Loa, an Ice Dragon Slayer,
