Sengoku rubbed his temples in agony. Every time he spoke to Loa, he felt as if his blood were flowing backward. One day, that bastard was going to drive him to an early grave!
"Forget all that for now. I'll have the G-4 branch over there help you seal off the news. Not a word of this gets out, understood?"

No, no, no. That wasn't part of my plan.
Out of Sengoku's sight, Loa's eyes darted around. He kept up his miserable expression and said, "But it's too late!"
"How is it too late?!" Sengoku glared at him and demanded an answer.
"Even if we hide the fact that Cobra handed over the Poneglyph, the Baroque Works remnants who escaped have already spread word of it! I only resorted to this because I knew we couldn't contain the news, and I was afraid Alabasta would be invaded again!"
There was nothing wrong with that statement. Even if Loa sealed off the news as Sengoku ordered, they couldn't immediately silence the Baroque Works members who were already outside Alabasta.
Whether they contained the news or not made no difference to Alabasta's current situation.
It was just that the order of events needed a little rearranging. If not for Loa's request, the whole thing could have been avoided.
Sengoku didn't know that, though. After hearing Loa out, he frowned. "Why would Crocodile spread the news? It does him no good at all."
Well, that was hard to say.
Loa shrugged. "Who knows? Maybe he figured that if he couldn't have it, nobody else should either. Or maybe he was bitter about his plan falling apart and wanted to make Alabasta suffer too?"
