At the Paramount War, with so much at stake, a single "Do me a favor" stopped the fighting between the pirates and the Marines and allowed Whitebeard and Ace to be laid to rest.
It was the most commanding line in the original story, second only to Whitebeard's "Be my son!"
Ahem. Back to the point. The line was impressive, but it took strength to back it up. If people feared your power, they would naturally do you a favor.
Otherwise, you were just sticking your face out for them to slap. In other words, you were asking for a beating!
As one of the New World's Yonko and a former crewman of Pirate King Roger, Shanks had both the standing and the strength to ask that of others. Loa did not have Shanks's standing yet, but his strength was even more frightening. So when he said those words, Momonga had to consider what would happen if he fought him.
"Shanks?"
Momonga murmured the name, slowly lowered his fist, and stood up.
Seeing this, Loa withdrew his hand too, then hauled Luffy off the ground. He picked up the Straw Hat, dusted it off, and put it back on Luffy's head. "Did you see that clearly?"
He was not asking whether Luffy had followed their movements. He was asking whether Luffy had seen how weak he was.
"Yeah. I saw."
Luffy's voice was hoarse, whether from his injuries or something else. He held down his hat, letting its brim hide his eyes.
"As a rough estimate, I'm a hundred times stronger than him." Loa smiled and pointed at himself.
"Tch!"
