Loa dropped his Dragon Transformation while he was still far from the island, then landed with Robin in a secluded corner of the Castle. At his transformed size, he would have cast an enormous shadow across the pink curtain of light.
He was only here to see Chopper and confirm one other thing, not to start some doomsday legend.
Dalton had gone from captain of Drum Kingdom's guards to a prisoner who might have been killed whenever Wapol felt like it. Then, in the space of a few days, he had become captain of the royal guard of the island's new nation, the Sakura Kingdom.
As captain, Dalton hardly needed to supervise the weekend fireworks himself. After his patrol, he returned to his quarters in the Castle, opened a book he had bought, and read quietly by lamplight.
Dalton might have settled into his post, but he had a dream no one knew about.
He wanted to become a Shipwright, build a great ship of his own, and see the vast world beyond the island!
But Dalton was too kind to leave the people of the Sakura Kingdom behind. He couldn't abandon those who trusted him. He would rather spend his whole life guarding the island, and he had never told anyone his dream.
Only late at night, when all was quiet, did he leaf through books on shipbuilding and imagine the great ship he might one day build. That was comfort enough for him.
