While Loa slept, Robin had become the rightful ruler of Turtle Island. Others handled troop deployments and strategic planning, and loyalty was no concern, but a faction still needed a leader in the public eye.
Especially when important visitors arrived. Sending only Ulysses to meet them would seem far too arrogant.
And now, one such visitor had come to Turtle Island, leaving Robin no choice but to receive him herself.
He was Loa's former teacher, a former Marine Admiral and the current Fleet Admiral: Aokiji!
A new era called for a new leader. Sengoku's conduct during the Paramount War had disheartened the troops. After assessing the losses and comforting the families of the fallen, he announced his resignation before the entire Marine force.
Aokiji then took his place. Akainu, who had lost an arm, was furious, but he knew he was no match for Aokiji now and said nothing. His ambition had not died with Aokiji's appointment, however. The new Fleet Admiral had come today to discuss Akainu with Loa.
