When Loa had read the cover stories in his previous life, he had wondered about Outer Space in the One Piece World. But then he remembered the Otsutsuki Hamura Clan living on the moon in Naruto, and it stopped seeming so strange.
Maybe Kishimoto and Oda both had some peculiar misconception about the moon. Or perhaps they just found it romantic!
The higher they climbed, the thinner the air grew. Above ten thousand meters, ordinary Blue Sea People would struggle to breathe and feel their limbs go weak. Beyond twenty thousand, even Loa felt short of breath! Past thirty thousand meters, the environment was unfit for any living creature!
Looking at the familiar White-White Sea in the distance, Loa grew worried about Robin. He had put her through plenty when they had gone to Sky Island together, so he beat his wings and turned back.
As it turned out, he had worried for nothing. After one trip to Sky Island, even Robin knew to watch out for the lack of oxygen at high altitude. Loa hovered beside the golden Ark Maxim, the corner of his mouth twitching. "Why didn't you give me one?"
"Because we didn't think you needed one."
Robin wore the smile of someone whose prank had worked. The oxygen mask distorted it a little, but her eyes gave her away.
Behind Robin, Enel and Simon each wore an oxygen mask. Both promptly pretended not to see Loa and gazed at the scenery.
"Fine. I'll show you what real strength looks like!"
Loa rolled his eyes at her and snorted. "I'll scout ahead!" Then he flew higher and higher.
The golden Ark Maxim could not match Loa's speed. By the time they broke through the clouds and saw the boundless White-White Sea for themselves, he had vanished.
