Space pirates were a strange bunch. There might have been other kinds elsewhere in the universe, but Loa thought the ones who had turned up at the lunar ruins deserved a name of their own: Dog-Headed Men.
One Dog-Headed Man, dressed like an eighteenth-century European nobleman, stared at Enel in bewilderment. He was the captain of the space pirate crew raiding the ruins. Before he could demand an explanation, Enel's Divine Judgment struck.
Lightning filled the scene. The pirates howled as the current tore through them. Enel had no intention of killing them outright. He meant to roast the villains who had dared damage his territory, little by little.
Then Loa's voice rang out.
"Leave one alive for questioning. There are things you should know, too."
"Hm?"
Enel frowned, but obeyed Loa. He sent the Dog-Headed Man in charge flying with a bolt of lightning. The rest of the Dog-Headed Men and their upright-walking animal companions were less fortunate: Enel's fury burned them to charcoal.
By the time Loa arrived with Robin and the others, the ground was covered in blackened corpses.
The air carried an unsettling smell of cooked meat. Fortunately, none of the three newcomers was ordinary. They rubbed their arms and began to look around.
Robin studied a charred body on the ground. "What kind of creature is this? Is he a crocodile or a human?"
"A crocodile-man, maybe?"
Caught off guard by Robin's line of inquiry, Loa gave her an odd look and replied. He walked over to the surviving Dog-Headed Man and kicked him in the stomach. The pirate, who had been pretending to sleep, spat out a mouthful of blood and curled up, clutching his belly as cold sweat poured off him.
They were supposed to be a vicious crew of Space Pirates!
