"Rescue people?"
On the Wavebreaker Warship as it sped across the sea, Mingde stared blankly. "Rescue who? Where? Are those soldiers coming too? And why did you suddenly decide to rescue people?"
"Are you done yet?" Loa snapped impatiently. "Do as I say! Once you reach shore, follow the Ice path and bring everyone."
"But their only job is to guard the warship. If they join the mission, it'll lower our mission rating!" Mingde said, troubled.
In the Elite Camp's field missions, the overall rating was just as important as capturing or killing the target.
After all, they were still recruits in training, prospective soldiers—unofficial Navy personnel. Temporary workers, essentially.
Even when they carried out difficult missions ordinary Navy personnel couldn't handle, they still earned no military merit.
That was why Kuzan couldn't teach Loa the Six Powers while training him. In the original story, even Luffy had figured them out on his own, so they were hardly top secret. But as a Navy officer, Kuzan still had to observe the rules.
Yet their contributions could not be erased. They had paid for them in blood and tears!
To keep the Elite Camp trainees from feeling cheated, a special overall rating had been established for field missions.
After graduation, those ratings could be converted into military merit. For most Elite Camp members, they were an important basis for promotion.
So it was no surprise that Mingde brought it up.
But those seemingly ordinary words enraged Loa. He lowered his voice into a growl.
