Kizaru didn't linger. He flashed past Wuli and Ain, his sights now set on Zephyr.
"He's after Teacher Z. Teacher Z is in danger. I'm sorry, but I have to help him."
Ain knew what Kizaru intended. Worry filled her face. She gave Wuli an apologetic look, then chased after Kizaru.
Wuli watched her go with a rueful smile and said nothing.
What weighed on him was that Kizaru had caught up. Kizaru was there to stop Zephyr, but if the two of them started fighting, the Dyna Stone could easily be caught in the crossfire.
That was what worried him most.
Kizaru sensed someone pursuing him. His brow shifted slightly. "What a reckless little brat. Though Teacher Zephyr does think she's a good student."
Kizaru didn't stop. He merely raised a finger. Light gathered at its tip, and he pointed behind him without looking.
A terrifying force spread outward. Dazzling light flared as a Laser Beam shot toward Ain.
"Hm?" Ain jerked her head up, her expression grave. Kizaru's Laser Beam was too fast, and she could sense the danger it carried. She stopped short, with just enough time to raise her sword in front of her.
Boom!
A deafening blast erupted the instant the Laser Beam reached Ain. A powerful shock wave swept outward amid flashes of fire, while thick black smoke swallowed her.
Zephyr was still moving forward when a dazzling light appeared before him. A tall figure quickly emerged from the glittering particles, his expression as casual as ever.
"Borsalino!"
"Teacher Zephyr, why are you in such a hurry? We haven't had a proper chance to catch up. We don't see each other often, so we ought to make the most of it," Kizaru said slowly.
