Wuli's expression shifted. He remembered that the power of the Sword Dao Seed inside him had yet to settle. It was in chaos, refusing to obey him, and he could barely draw on it.

"Damn it. I forgot all about that. Guess I really shouldn't have gotten so cocky."

Clang!

Wuli finally drew the Longsword that had been a third of the way out of its sheath and raised it in front of him. The Scythe formed from solidified mud struck it with a metallic ring!

Wuli was unhurt, but he could no longer call on the Sword Dao Seed's power. He could not withstand Wet-Haired Caribou's tremendous strength and was sent flying. His blade was an ordinary Marine Standard Sword; without sword energy or Sword Essence to protect it, it snapped under the hurried blow!

"Commodore Wuli!!"

The Marines stared in shock as Caribou sent their commodore flying toward the sea.

Wuli fell from the warship. Gazing up at the blue sky and hearing his subordinates' worried cries, he felt he had made a complete fool of himself.

Just as Wuli was about to hit the water, wind howled past, and a winged shadow swept across the surface.

Jewelry Bonney was stepping over the fallen pirates. She did not even look back, much less worry about Wuli. She had called him boring, too. What was the point of toying with pirates?

She was getting hungry and wanted to find something to eat, but a big man blocked her path. A green chameleon sat on his head, and the shovel in his hands was bigger than she was.

Without looking up, she said flatly, "Get out of my way."

Coribou saw that the little runt was not afraid of him and was even acting arrogant. Cruelty flashed in his eyes.
