But as Wuli looked at the island, he felt a strange sense of familiarity. He had seen it before.

The ship sailed toward the Town. Railroad tracks ran across the nearby sea, and two Sea Trains sat on the tracks in front of the island.

As the Town drew closer, Jewelry Bonney brightened. "Finally, an island with a Town! There are Sea Trains, too. Plenty of people must come to see the volcano, so there should be lots of good food."

The thought made Bonney's mouth water, and her stomach growled. When the ship docked, she found Wuli lost in thought and nudged him with her arm. He snapped out of it.

Bonney found that a little odd, but the promise of food had taken over her thoughts. She patted Wuli's shoulder and said cheerfully, "Bounty hunter, we've reached the Town, so this is where we part ways. I'm not coming along to watch you get yourself killed. I'll eat some extra good food for you."

Without waiting for Wuli to reply, Bonney got off the ship and headed for the island.

Was that supposed to be a farewell or a word of comfort? Wuli didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Watching Bonney stride away, Wuli disembarked too, with Shangyang close behind him.

"Wuli, are we getting off here too? Weren't we just dropping her off at a Town before leaving?" Shangyang asked through their mental link.

"We're getting off here, if my guess is right," Wuli replied the same way.

"You changed your mind?" Shangyang hadn't wanted to go before, but now that Wuli seemed to have decided against it, Shangyang felt strangely put out.
