"You two, stop it!"
Magellan spoke up again. This time, he was furious. His voice was frighteningly cold, and as he spoke, clouds of poison gas poured from his nostrils and mouth.
Magellan gave them both a cold look. "Stop it. If either of you still wants to fight, I'll be his opponent!"
"Fine. I'll do Magellan a favor. Like I said earlier, I love peace. I never intended to fight in the first place."
Ye Chen knew when to quit. He sheathed his sword and stepped aside. Shiryu ground his teeth in anger. Now, whether he looked at Ye Chen or heard another word from him, it made his teeth itch with hatred.
"Hmph..."
He had barely finished claiming he loved peace when Ye Chen gave Shiryu another contemptuous snort. The provocation was unmistakable. Was that how an honest, peaceable man behaved?
He looked more like a man itching to stir up chaos.
"Shiryu, why did you bring these people here?"
Seeing Shiryu about to lose his temper again, Magellan quickly changed the subject. No matter how infuriating Ye Chen was, he was a Shichibukai now. Magellan could not do anything to him without cause.
"Do you even need to ask?"
Still angry, Shiryu pointed at the Blood Pool. "Moria was one of the former Shichibukai. A dip in the Blood Pool isn't too much to ask, is it?"
Without waiting for Magellan's answer, Shiryu shoved Moria from behind. Caught completely off guard, and with his hands still cuffed, Moria plunged straight into the Blood Pool with a splash.
The moment he hit the water, the scalding blood swallowed him. Agony racked his entire body. Within moments, his skin and flesh had turned into a bloody mess.
It was worst at his chest, where Shiryu had just stabbed him.
