For days, Lucci and Gin had done nothing but eat, sleep, and fight Pizarro and Loka. Day after day, they went at it like machines, as if they had forgotten Ye Chen entirely.

It was already the fourth day. At mealtime, Nami finally snapped. She shot to her feet, planted her hands on her hips, and glared at Lucci and Gin like a Tiger about to pounce. "What's wrong with you two?"

Lucci remained expressionless and calm, as though he hadn't heard her.

Gin lifted an eyelid. "Nami, don't you have faith in Ye Chen?"

Lucci sighed. "Apparently not. What a disappointment."

"What? Now this is my fault? You two are far too relaxed! Aren't you worried at all?"

Nami hadn't expected them to turn the question on her. It was the fourth day, and Ye Chen still hadn't returned. How could they not be worried?

"Relaxed?"

Lucci snorted and shook his head. He pulled up his vest, revealing a body covered in wounds. Bone showed through in places. Nami's mouth fell open, and she shuddered.

"Does this look relaxed to you? If anything, the captain's the one taking it easy. Don't worry, he won't die. That man is going to become the Pirate King someday."

Fire seemed to flare in Lucci's eyes. "I don't have time to sit around. I'm done eating."

With that, Lucci headed back to the training room. Before long, Gin limped after him. Every day, the two of them had taken turns challenging Pizarro and Loka without a break.

They were battered nearly to pieces every time, but neither backed down. They threw themselves into those almost suicidal fights with growing enthusiasm, their fighting spirit
