Crocodile stared at Robin in disbelief. He had never expected her to plead for him.

This should have been her chance to get revenge, yet she had spoken up for him.

He realized he had misspoken and was about to correct himself, but Robin did not look angry. Warmth spread through him, followed by a surge of delight. By saying nothing, she had practically admitted it in front of everyone.

"Crocodile, I'd love to kill you myself. But Robin pleaded for you, so I'm letting you go. Remember this: you owe your life to her."

Crocodile lowered his head in shame. He had survived, but being saved by a woman's plea was nothing to be proud of.

Crocodile's face turned icy. He said nothing, only watched Ye Chen's retreating back.

He did not hate Ye Chen. Robin's plea was the only reason he was alive. But Crocodile hated feeling like a defeated man. He refused to accept it. He had to grow stronger.

As soon as they returned to the Inn, Robin spotted Binchy lounging against the sofa, puffing contentedly on a cigar.

"My cigars..." Smoker rummaged through a bag and let out a furious shout.
