Kuina gave a sharp cry and leaped forward. She drew the Wado Ichimonji and slashed.
Kuina had first learned Yue Maiden Swordsmanship and had since learned Falling Blossoms Swordsmanship. She had yet to awaken Haki, but both were superb sword styles. She was not to be underestimated.
"A woman dares to fight Admiral Akainu? I'll be your opponent." An officer suddenly leaped from the warship. It was Bosi, a Scorpion-Scorpion Fruit user.
"Scorpion Tail Needle!"
Bosi transformed into a scorpion and swept low across the ground. The venomous stinger on his tail whipped up a fierce wind as it shot toward Kuina.
Light as a swallow, Kuina flipped backward. Her long hair streamed behind her, and her white clothes fluttered as she drifted clear of Bosi's attack.
Bosi howled in fury and charged again. Kuina said nothing. She calmly circled him, darting up and down as the Wado Ichimonji flashed in her hand.
She did not rely on brute force. Her nimble footwork and graceful swordplay let her strike Bosi when he least expected it. His huge body seemed clumsy by comparison. Wounded again and again, he spun after her in frustration. No matter how wildly he attacked, he could not even touch the hem of her clothes.
"Gin... go steer the ship."
Kuro came to Gin's side, helped him up, then leaned close to speak in his ear.
"What? Are we running?" Gin asked.
Kuro nodded and sighed, worry written across his face. "Isn't it obvious? Courage alone won't be enough."
Even with Lucci and Ye Chen fighting together, they had gained no advantage. Akainu remained composed, handling them with ease. It seemed Ye Chen could not even force him to fight at full strength. If this continued, the outcome was obvious: they would soon lose.
