Akainu gritted his teeth, his eyes blazing with fury. A murderous aura surged from him.

Scalding magma hissed from both his fists. Red-hot drops fell through curls of white steam, splashing onto the deck and burning hole after hole through it.

The wooden deck melted in an instant.

If even a drop of that stuff landed on someone, the consequences were obvious.

"Looks like the tiger's about to show its claws."

Lucci rolled his eyes, but they gleamed with battle lust. The prospect of fighting an Admiral thrilled him. He had always lived by one iron rule: the strong ruled, and weakness was a sin.

As far as Lucci was concerned, it made little difference whether Ye Chen was a Shichibukai. The government and the Celestial Dragons would never leave him alone anyway. Better to give up the title and let their enemies come. They would meet whatever came their way. What was there to fear?

Lucci pointed at Loka and Pizarro. "Hey, our captain let you go. What are you waiting for? Don't think Akainu will spare you."

After so much time together, he had grown somewhat attached to them. They might have beaten him up every day, but he still did not want them falling into Akainu's hands. If they did, they would probably be thrown straight back into Impel Down.

"Worry about yourself. You can't even beat us, so who are you to worry whether we live or die? Meow..."

Pizarro snorted, refusing to admit how he felt, but he was grateful. He had never expected Ye Chen to let him go.

"Watch me."

Gin kicked off the ground and shot toward the warship carrying Akainu like a rocket.

Akainu glanced up at him with disdain. Before Gin could land, he drove out a fist. "Great Eruption!"
