"Hm?"
The newcomer moved like the wind, closing the distance in the blink of an eye. Ye Chen froze for an instant, but his body reacted on instinct, letting him dodge War Demon Wyper's attack by a hair.
Instinct was like typing on a keyboard: once you had enough practice, you could hit every key without even looking.
Fighting was the same. There was no need to think; your muscles and nerves reacted on their own.
Wyper shot past Ye Chen in a rush of wind. He paused, surprised, then wheeled around and charged again.
It wasn't that Wyper attacked without reason. He had always been hostile toward Blue Sea People. Few of the ones who had come before were decent. Most were vicious pirates who either stole treasure or bullied the islanders, and Wyper hated them for it.

Boom! Their palms collided with a deafening crash. Ye Chen was thrown more than ten meters back, while Wyper flew seven or eight meters in the opposite direction.
"What? Come on, you three are hopeless!"
The three best fighters aboard had all put on a disappointing show. Nami pouted and complained, "What's wrong with you? Did you skip breakfast?"
Ye Chen shook his head. "No. It's strange. I feel like I can't use my full strength."
Lucci and Gin nodded
