Hancock was badly hurt, and the shock of suddenly seeing Ye Chen had overwhelmed her. Before long, she fainted again.
When she woke, she was on Ye Chen's back. He was racing through the streets, looking for a hospital.
Hancock had countless shards of glass embedded in her feet. Ye Chen couldn't deal with them himself. Some had pierced deep into her soles, and he couldn't afford to treat the injuries carelessly.
The wind whistled past Hancock's ears as she clung to Ye Chen's back. Buildings flew by on either side. Yet despite his speed, his stride was remarkably steady.
Hancock felt no jostling at all. Only when she was fully awake did she realize, to her astonishment, that Ye Chen was firmly supporting her by the bottom.
Embarrassed and annoyed, Hancock could clearly feel the warmth of Ye Chen's palms. Even her breasts rose and fell against his back, brushing it with every step.
Hancock tried to put some distance between them. She leaned back slightly, freeing her chest from his back, but that only pressed her bottom more tightly against him.
Hancock blushed to the tips of her ears, her fair face flushed crimson. Ye Chen noticed none of it. All he wanted was to find a hospital and get her feet bandaged.
He had no idea that Hancock had secretly raised her hands into a heart shape several times. If she had steeled herself to do it, Ye Chen would have turned into a stone statue on the spot.
The streets were nearly empty at night, but the hospital was still brightly lit. Its doctors and nurses served the Celestial Dragons exclusively, and Ye Chen knew it. So rather than use the front entrance, he carried Hancock around back and climbed over the wall.
Crash!
