Once inside the Palace, Ye Chen pointed toward the rooms and told everyone, "There are plenty of rooms here. Take your pick. It doesn't matter where you sleep."
"Captain, I..."
Stone trailed off, looking deeply embarrassed. He was as thin as a rake now, all skin and bones. Luo's treatment had saved his life, but sleeping with Luo Lin had drained much of his vitality. He would not recover anytime soon.
Stone felt ashamed. He thought he had let everyone down, but Ye Chen waved it off. "Forget it. It's no big deal. Don't dwell on it." He glanced at Nami. "I made the same mistake you did—one any man could make."
Nami was sharp enough to catch his meaning at once. She rolled her eyes at Ye Chen. "I haven't settled accounts with you yet. Come with me."
Without giving him a choice, Nami grabbed Ye Chen by the collar, marched him into the first room she found, and slammed the door. Everyone exchanged awkward looks, unsure what to say. Before long, a commotion broke out inside, followed by the sound of something breaking. Robin shook her head and walked away.
The others could hardly keep standing outside the door, so they each found a room and went to bed.
"Ye Chen, you rotten bastard! You took advantage of me. How are you going to make it up to me?"
Nami stood with her hands on her hips, glaring at Ye Chen. Her chest rose and fell as she struggled to contain her anger.
Ye Chen wore an innocent expression. "What did I do? You'll have to be more specific."
Nami snatched up a pillow and hurled it at him. "Don't play dumb! Have you already forgotten what you did to me?"
