Boom!
Crack!
A huge crater opened in the ground. Dust billowed skyward as fierce winds swept across the island. Kaido glared with eyes as wide as bells, his face murderous. He looked like a savage beast driven mad, snorting furiously through his broad nostrils.
"Ye Chen, this time I'm going to kill you! A little rat should know when he's about to die. The New World isn't yours to run wild in!"
Kaido gnashed his teeth in fury. He looked down at Ye Chen, his eyes full of undisguised contempt.

"..." Kaido fell silent. He closed his eyes, seemingly lost in thought, and remembered challenging the older generation of Four Emperors.
Back then, they had called him an ignorant brat. They had looked down on him and said he was a fool taking on enemies far beyond his strength.
But Kaido had never given up. He had challenged them again and again until he won, rising to become one of the Four Emperors who ruled the New World over the bodies of his opponents.
Yet today, convinced he was invincible, he was acting just like the Four Emperors who had died at his hands.
Arrogant. Conceited. Blind to every newcomer.
Ye Chen met his gaze. "No matter how many times I lose to you, as long as I'm alive, I'll keep challenging you until I beat you!"
As long as he drew breath, he would keep fighting.
