History

Division from the Western Land branch

The Far West Long Family originated as a branch of the Western Land Long Family. Roughly two centuries before the branches reconnected, the original clan's population exceeded its available resources, producing internal conflict, inflated prices, and competition over cultivation supplies. A large group of members was forcibly sent to reclaim remote, barren territory; they became the Far West branch. 133

Distance, the dangerous Hundred Thousand Mountains, and hazardous sea routes gradually severed contact between the two branches. They later resumed relations while remaining politically separate forces with a shared bloodline and genealogy. 133

Establishment in the Far West

After arriving in the Far West, the Long Family seized its mountain territory from demonic cultivators following a three-day battle. It established its residence at the region's densest spiritual-energy point and planted the Divine Dragon Tree there as its sacred tree. 125

The family's rise accelerated after the Li Family, crippled by the loss of a purchased King-Breaking Pill and its escorts, ceded its territory to the Long Family at a low price. The acquired land allowed the Long Family to rapidly join the Seven Great Clans. 131

Bloodline policy

The Divine Dragon Tree is the Long Family's sacred tree, planted at the spiritual center of its territory and guarded by powerful cultivators. The family conducts eye-washing rites, sacrifices, and ceremonies around it. 125

Its Divine Dragon Milk supports the Evil Dragon Emperor Eye, while its Dragon's Tear is used for eye washing. Damage to the tree forced the cancellation of a planned eye-cleansing event and contribution-point compensation for its participants. 125 128

Recruitment of Long Xuan

After learning of Long Xuan's Long Family blood and Ten Extremity Physique, Old Long recruited him as a medicine boy and later personal disciple. The family subsequently recognized Long Xuan as a rare genius, opened most secret arts to him, and rewarded his inventions with immense contribution-point grants. 84 88

Sacred tree conspiracy

Long Chao plotted with the Soul Clan and Brain Gu clan to massacre the family's young geniuses, steal Divine Dragon Milk, and perfect his Evil Dragon Emperor Eye.
