Now, everyone, Goni included, was plunged into confusion. If Li Ziran had completely lost control, the three of them could never have broken free; their consciousnesses should have long since been swallowed clean by nothingness. But if Li Ziran was conscious, why had he not awakened?
"I was in the middle of those spinning spiral rings when I was suddenly kicked out." Jin Potter quickly shared his thoughts. "Perhaps Li Ziran sensed my presence."
Goni shot him a contemptuous glance. Didn't he know the extent of his own abilities? The only one who could have caused such an anomaly was Anfuni.
He instinctively looked toward Anfuni, only to find her frowning deeply.
"I don't know what happened either. It just felt like I had a dream, but not quite a dream. I heard Li Ziran speaking," Anfuni said softly.
"Speaking?" Goni asked in surprise.
Something extraordinary had undoubtedly happened to Li Ziran's consciousness, a change even Goni could not begin to guess at. Now that the souls within the Soul Fragments had completely vanished, their connection to Li Ziran had been utterly severed. Even some mighty existence that ruled the Void Expanse might not have been able to fully awaken Li Ziran.
"Look, what is that?" Just as they were at a loss over what had happened, Snow pointed at the Soul Fragment and cried out.
In the utterly empty space, a black dot suddenly appeared. More precisely, it was a speck of dust.
The dust mote was tiny, yet in an instant, it split into a second, then a third, a fourth, a fifth. In the blink of an eye, there were tens of thousands of them.
Goni peered closely within and discovered that every mote possessed a Double Helix structure. These spirals gathered together, directly forming larger spirals.
