Background

Zhou Yu was originally a Myth character created by Zheng Xiuqi, the only woman among Avilan’s close friends. Zheng had left the guild at its height to marry and raise a family, but Zhou Yu remained part of Despair Fortress as the Southern District’s steward. 5

Arthur recommends reviving Zhou Yu when Avilan realizes that Despair Fortress lacks capable administrators. After the fortress gathers the required gold, she is resurrected and immediately resumes her absolute loyalty to Avilan. 5 8

Upon her return, Zhou Yu identifies Despair Fortress’s two immediate priorities: restoring the Gold Pool to fund reconstruction and revivals, and infiltrating nearby powers before they can threaten the fortress. Avilan entrusts both matters to her. 8
