Love Letter

When Yin Ge opened her eyes again, she had already entered the void. Seven points of light gleamed brightly.

Yet Yin Ge did not look at them.

Because she knew those points of light would not change in the slightest before her eyes.

The Grand Physician Godhead had neither healing capabilities nor the ability to act against others, so her view was limited.

Perhaps one of the points of light had already vanished, but Yin Ge simply could not see it.

But that was not where her attention lay.

At this moment, she already had someone in mind, but she still needed to observe the events and the Godheads to verify her suspicions.

She spent the entire night awake.

At nine the next morning, the Dorm Supervisor opened his eyes right on schedule.

After dealing with all those trivial matters, Yin Ge finally saw Zhang Zichen and the others again through the Dorm Supervisor's eyes during the flag-raising ceremony.

At that moment, the School Bully stood sloppily before the entire student body and faculty, receiving the Principal's reprimand.

From the Principal's words, Yin Ge learned of the School Bully's "glorious achievements."

The School Bully had beaten the person who had led the mockery of Zhang Zichen yesterday badly enough to send him to the hospital.

Yin Ge could not help recalling the scene of the School Bully entering the restroom yesterday.

So he had been venting Zhang Zichen's anger for him?

Even after receiving a major demerit, the School Bully showed no reaction. He even picked at his ear, apparently uninterested in listening to the Principal.

Soon, after the morning assembly ended, the other students returned to their classrooms.

The School Bully was kept behind and followed the Principal into the office. Zhang Zichen entered as well.

Before long, a burst of shouting came from the Principal's office.

The Dorm Supervisor was too far away to hear clearly.

Fortunately, two chatty female dorm managers stood beside him. They were discussing what had just happened, and Yin Ge listened intently.

"Get out of here!" The Dorm Supervisor frowned. "Who can control that little devil?"

For the two women to discuss it so openly in front of the Principal's relative, the School Bully truly was infamous.

The Dorm Supervisor returned to the dormitory with his hands behind his back.

For the rest of the morning, Yin Ge failed to get any useful information.

It was not until lunchtime, when he went to get food at the cafeteria, that she heard news related to Zhang Zichen again.

"Hehe!" A scruffy male student ran to the table where the School Beauty was sitting with a sheet of paper in hand. In a deliberately mysterious tone, he said, "Look what this is."

The School Beauty was eating with a group of girls and ignored him.

But one of the girls beside her smiled and said, "What, delivering a love letter?"

"A love letter, it really is a love letter!" The boy gleefully mocked. "Let me read it to you!"

In an extremely cloying voice, he read out the contents of the letter.

"Ew, that's so cheesy," the girls said with laughter.

The School Beauty frowned and got up to leave.

"Hey, wait." The male student stopped her. "Don't you want to know who wrote this love letter?"

His voice was loud, instantly drawing the attention of many people.

"Boring." The School Beauty was about to leave after saying that, but the male student would not let it go.

"Zhang Zichen wrote it! Pfft, hahahaha!"

He burst into laughter.

Upon hearing him, the bystanders watching the spectacle laughed along with him.

The School Beauty bit her lip tightly, looking somewhat angry as she turned and walked out.

Many boys followed behind her, chanting, "Get together! Get together..."

Yin Ge frowned. Ganging up on a girl like this was truly going too far.

The chanting abruptly stopped at its most fervent point.

"Bro, y-you're here..." The male student who had started it all swallowed hard and gave an awkward smile as he looked at the School Bully and Zhang Zichen entering the cafeteria.

When she saw the two of them, the School Beauty pressed her lips tightly together and left without even greeting them.

The School Bully frowned and looked at those who had been chanting. "We were outside just now. Where did you get that love letter?"

"Z-Zhang Zichen wrote it." The male student's voice was barely louder than a mosquito's buzz.

The School Bully raised his brows and looked toward Zhang Zichen behind him, seemingly seeking confirmation.

Yin Ge could not see how Zhang Zichen responded, but soon, the School Bully was glaring at the group that had been chanting with an almost vicious look in his eyes.

Just as the School Bully was about to say something, Zhang Zichen left.

He walked away in a hurry. The School Bully did not have time to deal with the hecklers and turned to follow Zhang Zichen.

Did Zhang Zichen really write it...? Yin Ge was deeply puzzled.

But before she could figure it out, she spotted a familiar figure in the crowd.

The sports committee member was watching the backs of Zhang Zichen and the School Bully as they departed, his gaze terrifying.

Before Yin Ge could make sense of those scenes, the Dorm Supervisor left with his bowl in hand.

Great, he'd left the center of the storm again... Yin Ge did not know why she had become the Dorm Supervisor. So far, he seemed to remain outside everyone's affairs, with no presence at all.

He had almost no interaction with Zhang Zichen. How was she supposed to find clues?

But no one was destined to answer that question for her.

After returning to the dormitory, the dorm manager lay down for his afternoon nap, but Yin Ge could not fall asleep no matter what.

The love letter incident that morning seemed ordinary enough, yet it carried an inexplicable sense of strangeness.

Would students really go all the way to the cafeteria just to heckle someone? Or was someone deliberately trying to set Zhang Zichen up?

She had a feeling this was not over yet.

Near the afternoon, while making his rounds, the dorm manager saw the School Bully, the School Beauty, and Zhang Zichen in the small garden.

To Yin Ge's surprise, the Dorm Supervisor did not go up to them. Instead, he stopped and secretly observed the three of them.

What was this? I'd just complained that the Dorm Supervisor had no presence, and now he was spying on people... A chill crept into Yin Ge's heart.

But before long, her attention was drawn to the conversation between Zhang Zichen and the other two.

"I-I-I really do like you, but I never wrote that love letter." Zhang Zichen's voice trembled slightly.

"D-Don't you feel anything for me? Ever since I... ever since I got sick, you've always been so good to me."

Her tone was exceptionally cold. She seemed like an entirely different person from the enthusiastic girl yesterday who had constantly cared about Zhang Zichen, and she mercilessly turned to leave.
