Another Son of Heaven?

Everyone was stunned, but that shock quickly turned into confusion.

The Bride's father was somewhat excited. "Since the two of them have the same identity, doesn't that mean the Killer is one of them? The rest of us don't need to verify our Godheads, right?"

"No, I'm not the Killer!"

The Groom and the Bride's mother spoke in unison, then glared at each other with hostility.

Everyone's attention was on the two of them. Only the child opened his mouth slightly, his face conflicted. In the end, he could not resist tugging on Yin Ge's sleeve.

Sensing the child's movement, Yin Ge looked down at him in confusion. Just as he was about to speak, the Groom's furious voice cut him off.

"You bitch, I'm the Son of Heaven! I knew it—I was right about you. You're the Killer!" The Groom strode forward excitedly before launching into a tirade.

"I knew women were all no good. I was the one who revealed information about the Son of Heaven Godhead first. What right did you have to steal it from me?"

"Hmph!" The Bride's mother snorted. "How do I know you weren't already familiar with the Son of Heaven Godhead? Maybe you've played this game before or knew about it and were only pretending not to."

The Bride's father nodded. "That is indeed possible. The order doesn't prove anything."

Most people agreed with that reasoning.

Seeing this, the Groom refused to accept it and began arguing more and more fiercely with the Bride's mother.

"Wait!" The Best Man stepped between them. "Both of you, stop. Never mind who the Son of Heaven is for now—tell us why you used Discernment on each other."

"Only then can we tell which one of you is the real Son of Heaven."

"Why? What reason do I need?" The Groom's face tightened. "That woman never stops yapping. She's always trying to make us go along with her and protect her. Who does she think she is?"

"Besides, she keeps attacking me and slandering me. I thought she was the Killer, so I checked her."

That reasoning was not very logical; it was full of emotion.

Yin Ge frowned deeply and looked at the Bride's mother. "What about you? Why did you use Discernment on the Groom?"

The Bride's mother stiffened her neck. "He kept being nasty to me, and he was closest to the Bride, so I used Discernment on him."

After only a few words, she sneered. "Heh, I didn't expect to get it right on the first try. He... he really is the Killer!"

After that, the two stared each other down as though they wanted to devour one another alive.

Clearly, their reasons for using Discernment on each other were exactly the same—they could not stand each other.

When they had first entered the game, no one had understood what was going on. At a time like that, their attention naturally went to people who had left a stronger impression.

Such motives for using Discernment could not exactly be called wrong...

The situation was extremely troublesome. For the moment, no one could make up their minds or tell who was the Son of Heaven.

The Best Man thought for a moment before speaking. "Both of you are suspicious."

"Since we can't determine who is the Son of Heaven and who is the Killer from the Godheads, we'll have to return to the incidents we discussed earlier."

Upon hearing that, the Groom's body trembled involuntarily. "Y-you're targeting me, aren't you?"

"Everyone knows I'm the only one who had intimate contact with the Bride. I'm more wronged than Dou E!"

"Who's targeting you?" The Bride's mother immediately relaxed considerably. "Whether we're analyzing the Godheads or the incidents, you're obviously the most suspicious one."

"You were cheated on and couldn't swallow your anger, so you attacked the Bride."

"The Bride may have cheated, but she didn't deserve to die. Why did you harm her?"

Those words made the Groom even angrier. "Bullshit! I didn't kill her! I'm not the Killer!"

The Bride's father quickly said, "But you and the Bride had a huge fight. You did have a motive."

"It's true that the Bride cheated, but I'm really not the Killer!" The Groom was losing his mind. "I have a Godhead. I'm the real Son of Heaven!"

"Not me, it really wasn't me! You've all been deceived by that bitch!"

The Groom was extremely agitated.

Everyone was uncertain and exchanged glances, not knowing what to do now.

Yin Ge frowned slightly and looked at the Bride's mother. "We all know what happened with the Groom. What about you? What did you do when your body was being controlled?"

The Bride's mother bit her lip tightly, reluctant to answer. "The facts are right in front of you. I've been with all of you the whole time. Can't you see what I've done? Why are you even asking me?"

"I can see it now. You just don't like me, so you've been targeting me this whole time, trying to get me killed."

Yin Ge's head was starting to ache. She had no idea what this woman was thinking, and her tone turned stern.

"Can you act normal? This is a matter of life and death. I don't have time to target you. I just want to stay alive."

"Several of us were with the Groom and Bride the whole time, but you went into a room for a while."

The Best Man also spoke sternly. "If you want to clear yourself of suspicion, you'd better recount everything you said and did. We'll judge who looks more like the Killer based on your words."

The Bride's mother's eyes instantly reddened, as though she had suffered some enormous grievance. "I didn't do anything. I was with the Bride's father and that child the whole time."

"You all know what happened during the day. After eating, I went into the room for a nap. Then I got up in the evening to cook. Nothing special happened in between."

Hearing this, everyone looked at the Bride's father.

The Bride's father's expression was slightly unnatural, but he still nodded. "Nothing special did happen."

At that, Yin Ge turned to look at the child.

The child had been with the Bride's father and mother the whole time. If anything unusual had happened, he should have noticed it too.

Under everyone's gaze, the child scratched his head, looking conflicted. "Sh-she really was with me the whole time. Nothing unusual happened."

Hearing that, the Bride's mother raised her chin, looking completely open and aboveboard.

"Impossible!" the Groom shouted. "You're lying!"

Seeing this, the child hesitated before grabbing Yin Ge's hand. "B-but, I'm not sure either, sis. Actually... actually..."

Seeing the child hesitate, the Groom assumed he had noticed something wrong with the Bride's mother. He immediately stepped forward, pressed down on the child's shoulders, and asked,

"What aren't you sure about? Hurry up and say it. Is there something wrong with that bitch?"

"She's the Killer, right? That's why she stole my identity."

The Groom shook the child's shoulders forcefully. "Don't be afraid. Tell everyone everything. Once you do, they'll all know that bitch is the real Killer."

The child's mouth trembled, and tears instantly welled up in his eyes. "It hurts... it hurts."

The Best Man frowned, pulled the child behind him, and sternly rebuked the Groom. "Just talk if you want to talk. Don't go putting your hands on people and scaring them."

"How was I scaring him?" The Groom flew into a rage. "Get out of my way!"

The Best Man did not move and ignored the Groom.

Yin Ge turned to the child and spoke gently. "Don't be afraid. What were you about to say? Go on."

The child glanced fearfully at the Groom before timidly speaking. "I-I was trying to say..."

"I'm the Son of Heaven."
