Asuma’s growing power helped force peace with Iwagakure while he worked to foil Uchiha Madara’s plans and protect Rin, Kakashi, and Akatsuki. After Yahiko died and Danzo’s schemes threatened Konoha, Asuma killed Danzo and secured Root’s records.

• Asuma captured more than a thousand Iwa Ninja, defeated Ōnoki, and negotiated a peace treaty that ended the war with Iwagakure.
• Asuma warned Yahiko, Nagato, and Konan about Madara’s plans, then secretly rescued Rin and Kakashi after Rin was stabbed and revived Rin by creating a new heart.
• Asuma split the Three-Tails, sealed its Yin half inside Rin, and helped her gain a Sage Transformation seal before assigning Kakashi to train her as Anbu Sen.
• Asuma and Jiraiya tried to protect Akatsuki from Hanzō’s trap, but Yahiko died in a poisoned explosion, and Nagato vowed to inherit his ideals through the Rinnegan.

Asuma expanded his training program, advanced his research into Kekkei Genkai, and helped reshape relations between Konoha and its clans. After a long seclusion and a fierce spar with Might Guy, he tested the Eight Gates and discovered both their immense power and the risks to his body.

• Asuma developed his techniques, secured funding, and launched a private Jōnin Special Training Class that taught Chakra control and nature transformation.
• Asuma treated Gekko Hayate’s damaged lungs with Tsunade and began investigating how Kekkei Genkai could cause illness.
• Asuma trained Shisui, who awakened the Three Tomoe Sharingan through Yin Style training, and used the class to strengthen students from Konoha’s clans.
• Asuma created Wood Release, trained the class through a Forest of Death assessment, and demonstrated how clan techniques could be understood through Chakra transformations.
• Asuma and Minato negotiated broader cooperation with the clans, while Fugaku pledged the Uchiha Clan’s support for Asuma’s Sharingan research.
• Asuma returned from seclusion, moved in with Kurenai and Shizune, and defeated Might Guy after Guy opened the sixth gate.

Asuma strengthened Konoha, developed new powers, and prepared to infiltrate the Akatsuki while helping reshape the Uchiha Clan and protecting people caught up in the coming conflicts. The arc ended with Sakumo recovering from Sasori’s poison and Konoha and Sunagakure beginning a joint hunt for the S-Class rogue.

• Asuma developed a Sage Cursed Seal, tested a Clone’s evolved Sharingan, and showed Fugaku how Yin and Yang Release could produce Mangekyō and Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan.
• When Obito attacked on the night Naruto was born, Asuma and Minato exposed Madara’s plan, turned Obito into a Konoha spy, and sealed Yin Kurama inside Kushina and Yang Kurama inside Naruto.
• Asuma defeated the Fourth Raikage and captured Killer B, then secretly split Yin Kurama from the Eight-Tails and sealed it in the Black Pot before Killer B returned home after a ransom exchange.
• Asuma helped bring Miri and Karin to Konoha, where Miri reunited with Kushina and accepted Asuma’s offer to protect Karin’s future.
• Fugaku began reforming the Uchiha Clan, while Asuma and Shisui uncovered and rewrote the manipulated tablet at Naka Shrine.
• Asuma gained Dust Release and agreed to infiltrate the Akatsuki, capturing Kakuzu and sending a disguised Clone to take his place.
• After the Kaguya Clan rebelled and was defeated by Kirigakure, Asuma collected its corpses while Orochimaru left with Kimimaro.

Asuma shattered the moon’s Tenseigan, returned with knowledge of Kaguya, and built a Sage Domain where his allies and students learned Sage Mode. He expanded his work by planting Immortal Trees across distant lands and binding the Dragon Vein, while new discoveries awaited him in the south.

• Sasori joined Akatsuki after Konan defeated his Third Kazekage puppet, and Pain later recruited Orochimaru while Asuma let Akatsuki’s plans move toward war.
• Asuma developed Electromagnetic Chakra Mode, flew to the moon, shattered the Tenseigan, and returned to Konoha with revelations about Kaguya and the lunar Ōtsutsuki.
• Asuma created the Sage Domain around an Immortal Tree, used it to help Shinya and Shisui master Sage Mode, and accepted Neji and Hinata as disciples with Kurenai.
• Asuma planted Immortal Trees across the Forbidden Life Zone, found Mount Myōboku with Tsunade, Kurenai, and Shizune, and met Gamamaru.
• Asuma sealed the Dragon Vein’s power in a gourd after binding it beneath the earth, then discovered a young pureblood Uzumaki girl at a Summoned Beast research facility.
