Dao Xuan's escape technique had grown ever more profound. Beyond the original Four Symbols' Wind Law, he had incorporated the other three great laws of Earth, Water, and Fire, as well as the Space Law and Time Law.
With so many laws combined and reconstructed into a new escape technique, calling it Wind Release was clearly no longer suitable. Thus, Dao Xuan gave it a pleasant new name: Near and Far Apart.
At this moment, Dao Xuan activated this escape technique. In an instant, he crossed an immeasurable distance and arrived above a tranquil stretch of sea that appeared utterly empty.
Yet clearly, the tranquility and emptiness here were merely an illusion. Dao Xuan blinked, and suddenly, his eyes became hollow and empty, even their whites vanishing.
In their place was a vast expanse of chaos, churning endlessly, with specks of light gleaming within.
Looking closer, one would see that those tiny points of light were in fact incomparably immense—each one a massive star, forming a boundless sea of stars.
The sight within Dao Xuan's eyes was another divine ability he had recently cultivated, known as the World Truth Eye.
Its greatest specialty was seeing through falsehood. By gathering mana in his eyes, he could see through all manner of illusions and obstructions.
It also possessed tremendous power. His eyes were divided according to yin and yang; chaos split apart, allowing his left eye to unleash Solar Divine Light and his right eye to unleash Lunar Divine Light.
With a single strike, yin and yang united, destroying everything in its path and shattering all laws!
As Dao Xuan's Inner World continuously matured and grew, with all manner of laws constantly supplementing it, his methods had become increasingly diverse and comprehensive.
At this moment, Dao Xuan activated the World Truth Eye, immediately allowing him to see through a veil of confusion before him.
Within that veil, the faint outline of an innate formation emerged.
This innate formation was not particularly powerful, leaving Dao Xuan slightly disappointed. After all, the stronger an innate formation was, the more formidable the treasures within it tended to be.
Still, since he was already here, Dao Xuan could not simply leave without taking a look. His gaze sharpened, and the chaos within his eyes began to churn violently before splitting apart.
Yin and yang separated, and both his eyes immediately brightened. His left eye in particular erupted with dazzling flames.
His right eye, on the other hand, released an icy blue radiance. Though it appeared gentle, one glance at it seemed enough to freeze a person's soul.
Solar Divine Light!
Lunar Divine Light!
The two divine lights erupted fiercely, one from the left and one from the right!
Yin and yang merged. With a single blow, the innate formation was blasted apart, utterly vanishing beneath the impact of the Yin-Yang Divine Light.
Once the formation broke, an immortal island appeared before Dao Xuan.
This immortal island was indeed extraordinary. It floated atop the vast sea, surrounded by towering waves, while ocean mist blanketed it all year round.
On the island stood three verdant peaks in a tripod formation. Precious grasses never withered upon their slopes, ancient pines clung to cliff faces, immortal cranes came and went, and spiritual springs flowed slowly along the rocks.
It truly was a quiet place for cultivation.
Then Dao Xuan's gaze fell upon the boundary stele of the immortal island, and his heart jolted.
Three Immortal Islands?
This island was actually the Three Immortal Islands?
Dao Xuan frowned and spread out his divine sense, which swept across the area. In the next instant, a scene appeared in his perception.
Deep within the Three Immortal Islands, a dense golden radiance floated in midair. Around that golden light, two sides were engaged in battle.
One side was a young Daoist in black robes, tall and upright, with the cultivation of a Grand Unity Golden Immortal. Beside him, three clouds continuously circled and flew about, helping him resist attacks while attempting to seize the treasure shrouded within the golden light.
The other side consisted of two enormous Innate Flood Dragons. One had crimson scales and surging yang energy, spewing blazing flames from its mouth.
The other had pitch-black scales, bone-piercing coldness, and dense, frigid mist coiling around its body.
These two flood dragons were male and female. The male dragon governed yang, while the female dragon governed yin. Their yin and yang energies circulated and intertwined, their auras supporting one another and their laws linked together.
They coiled around each other, blending yin qi and poisonous fire. Their attacks were exceptionally ferocious, while their savage roars shook the surrounding mountains and rocks until they trembled incessantly.
Seeing this scene, how could Dao Xuan not know that the treasure within that golden light was the famed divine treasure of the Investiture of the Gods—the first chamber pot between heaven and earth, the Primordial Golden Dipper, a top-grade Innate Spiritual Treasure?
That young Daoist was Zhao Gongming, the outer sect's chief disciple of the Interception Sect. The three clouds beside him were naturally the three Xiao sisters: Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, and Bixiao.
It was simply that the three sisters had not yet taken human form.
The battle was progressing terribly for them. Zhao Gongming, fighting the two innate vicious flood dragons, had almost completely fallen into a disadvantage and was being forced back step by step.
One could easily imagine that without outside interference, Zhao Gongming and the Three Xiao would certainly lose this battle.
The Primordial Golden Dipper would then fall into the hands of the two Innate Flood Dragons.
But where there was no surprise, a surprise occurred. At this moment, the Yin-Yang Divine Light Dao Xuan had unleashed with the World Truth Eye forcibly broke apart the formation of the Three Immortal Islands and entered the island.
This greatly shocked both sides of the battle.
From Zhao Gongming and the others' perspective, they saw a blinding mass of immortal light suspended in the distance.
It was like the sun in the sky, impossible to look at directly.
Compared to it, even the flames spewed by the yang flood dragon's breath appeared dim and lusterless.
An intense pressure erupted from Dao Xuan, instantly blanketing the battlefield and enveloping the entire Three Immortal Islands.
"Hiss!!"
Yet the two Innate Flood Dragons did not submit. Instead, their ferocity was stirred, and they hissed endlessly at Dao Xuan.
The young Daoist Zhao Gongming, however, decisively led the Three Xiao backward, increasing their distance from both the Innate Flood Dragons and the Primordial Golden Dipper.
He shouted toward Dao Xuan, "Senior, we are willing to abandon this Innate Spiritual Treasure. We only ask that you show mercy and allow us to leave."
What an intelligent Zhao Gongming!
At this moment, even Dao Xuan, who had deliberately concealed his appearance with immortal light, could not help sighing inwardly.
After discovering that this was the Three Immortal Islands, Dao Xuan had known he would inevitably encounter Zhao Gongming and the Three Xiao.
These four siblings consisted of Zhao Gongming, who had attained the Dao after taking form from a wisp of innate clear wind, and the Three Xiao, who had taken form from three innate clouds.
Their talent could be said to rank among the very finest beneath the innate divine demons.
And indeed, that was the case. Though the Interception Sect had enjoyed immense prestige during the Investiture of the Gods era, when ten thousand immortals came to pay homage—
Its elite disciples numbered only around ten or twenty.
Zhao Gongming, Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, and Bixiao were four of them!
This fully demonstrated the potential of Zhao Gongming and the Three Xiao. Logically speaking, any great cultivator who encountered them would be tempted to take them as disciples and pass down his own Dao methods.
But Dao Xuan was not.
