While searching for Cell, he narrowly escaped a suicide attack by a smaller Cell when Vegeta intervened 90.
Yamcha later reached the God Realm. During the conflict with the Fallen Angels, he left his group to fight skeleton soldiers alone, disregarding warnings not to underestimate them. One restrained him while thousands self-destructed, killing him in the explosion 277 282 283. Wuling had arranged for fallen allies to be received by King Kai, and Yamcha was told he could be revived with the Dragon Balls. He appears again in the group’s later New Year conversation 292 323.
