Arc 7The Empire and the Main World

Hane defeated the forces opposing him, unified the Ninja World under his Empire, and reshaped its spiritual order. After learning his world was a branch of the Main World, he prepared to send Uchiha Retsuyō and the Twelve Golden Guards into a dangerous conflict there.

  • Hane defeated the Otsutsuki on the moon, replaced the destroyed moon, and later brought Kirigakure under the Empire through Mei Terumi and Genji.
  • Hane killed Obito, revived Kaguya-hime from the Ten-Tails, and persuaded Nagato and Akatsuki to serve the Empire.
  • Akatsuki’s attacks weakened the Allied Shinobi Forces, while Nagato and Orochimaru assembled a vast Impure World Reincarnation army and Madara returned to life.
  • The villages submitted to the Empire, but Madara led the reanimated army against Imperial forces before Hane and Kaguya stopped his plan and ended the war.
  • Hane established the Empire as the Ninja World’s sole nation, and Mikoto gave birth to a daughter as Hane’s family gathered around the newborn.
  • Hane confronted the sages over the God Tree, punished Hamura, and instructed Hagoromo to establish reincarnation and govern the Underworld.
  • The system revealed that Hane’s world was a branch of the Main World and that the Dragon Vein could open a path there, but Hane could send only one hundred loyal people and could not act personally.
  • Hane asked Uchiha Retsuyō and the Twelve Golden Guards to risk their relatives in the coming struggle, and they pledged to follow his orders.
Chapters 151–175 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 151Otsutsuki Descendants

After Hashirama and Tobirama departed, Hane sensed a powerful intruder at Konoha and confronted a descendant of the Otsutsuki on the moon. The intruder fled through a spatial passage to the moon, and Hane followed to deal with the threat.

  • Hashirama and Tobirama released their Impure World Reincarnation, leaving Tsunade grieving, and Hane promised she might see them again after he gained control of the world.
  • Hane sensed an unfamiliar aura near Konoha and hurried to find Hizashi and the Hyuga clan members facing a powerful stranger who could suppress their Byakugan.
  • The stranger attacked Hizashi, but Hane appeared and disrupted the attack with spatial power.
  • Hane recognized the intruder as a descendant of the Otsutsuki on the moon and briefly restrained him with a crushing force.
  • The intruder broke free, challenged Hane to come to the moon, and escaped through an open spatial passage; Hane told the Twelve Golden Guards to protect Konoha and prepared to follow.

Ch. 152First Battle with the Six Paths

Hane reached the moon and confronted Otsutsuki Shede, who had seized control of the lunar clan and was using its Tenseigan and the Six Paths' power to fulfill his ancestor’s order. After Shede’s attack injured Hane’s Golden Body, Hane prepared to fight back.

  • Otsutsuki Shede explained that he had taken the Main Family’s Byakugan and created a massive Tenseigan to lure Hane to the moon and eliminate him.
  • Otsutsuki Shede argued with the eyeless clansmen, then visited his bound, pregnant wife, Hezi, who condemned his actions as ambition rather than concern for their child.
  • Hane appeared in the hidden chamber and slammed Otsutsuki Shede into the ground, surprising him by reaching the moon without using the spatial passage.
  • Otsutsuki Shede activated the Tenseigan and blasted the palace complex, leaving a charred wound on Hane’s Golden Body.
  • Otsutsuki Shede charged Hane with his Six Paths Staff as Hane recognized the danger of the Six Paths’ power.

Ch. 153The Moon Destroyed

Hane overwhelmed Otsutsuki Shede in battle, but Shede triggered the Tenseigan and caused the moon to explode. Hane shielded the Ninja World from the blast, leaving him injured and burdened with restoring the world’s balance of yin and yang.

  • Hane used his Ten-Foot Golden Body to overpower Otsutsuki Shede and smash him into the moon’s surface.
  • Hane pierced Otsutsuki Shede with a golden spear and drained his life force after defeating his Divine Void Strike.
  • Otsutsuki Shede poured his remaining Six Paths Chakra into the Tenseigan and caused the moon to explode.
  • Hane learned that the lunar explosion had damaged the Deva Path of the Ninja World and left him responsible for restoring its yin-yang balance.
  • Hane expanded his Golden Body to shield the Ninja World from the explosion, suffering injuries and coughing golden blood.

Ch. 154Replenishing the Moon

Hane replaced the destroyed moon by pulling a complete celestial body from across the universe, strengthening the Ninja World's origin but exhausting much of his spiritual power. The Sage of Six Paths and Hamura watched in shock, while the Otsutsuki First Ancestor noticed Hane's power and ordered a search for missing clan members and another new world.

  • The Sage of Six Paths stopped Hamura from interfering further, warning that meddling in the World of the Living carried a karmic price.
  • Hane used his Golden Body in place of the destroyed moon and reasoned that the Ninja World's Deva Path could grow stronger by expanding its influence.
  • The Otsutsuki First Ancestor saw a gigantic golden hand move a celestial body and ordered his clan to plant a God Tree on a newly discovered world and investigate a team that had not returned.
  • Hane pulled a complete moon from the starry sky, sensed that it had increased the Ninja World's origin, and fell back toward the world after his spiritual power was drained.
  • White Zetsu and Black Zetsu saw the moon's destruction, and Black Zetsu realized Hamura's power had been involved while hoping the fighting would help Mother's revival.

Ch. 155Mei Terumi

After the moon exploded, a meteor fell near Mei Terumi and wiped out the Hidden Mist survivors fleeing through the Land of Frost. Hane rescued the wounded Mei Terumi, who learned he was the Fifth Hokage and wondered why he had saved her.

  • Black Zetsu said Kaguya's resurrection was irreversible, while Hane sensed her scattered will and chose not to interfere.
  • Mei Terumi led dozens of battered Hidden Mist ninja through the snowy Land of Frost toward the Land of Water and treated her wounds with a golden pill.
  • A meteor struck nearby, and its shockwave buried Mei Terumi and killed every other Hidden Mist ninja in her unit.
  • Mei Terumi crawled from the snow, suffered severe internal injuries, and fainted after seeing Hane emerge from the crater's mist.
  • Hane healed Mei Terumi, told her he was the Fifth Hokage, and said the Hidden Mist force had simply been crushed by his meteor.

Ch. 156Arrival at Kirigakure

Hane offered Mei Terumi the chance to rule the Land of Water if Kirigakure submitted to him, and she agreed to accompany him there. They arrived at Kirigakure, where the village raised an alarm and Genji demanded to know what had happened to the other Mist shinobi.

  • Hane told Mei Terumi that the Fourth Mizukage was dead and demanded her loyalty in exchange for authority over the Land of Water.
  • Mei Terumi flirted with Hane, then agreed to go with him after learning he was only twelve and hearing his terms for Kirigakure’s submission.
  • Hane recovered some of his spiritual power, summoned his flying sword, and had Mei Terumi guide him toward Kirigakure.
  • Hane and Mei Terumi flew to Kirigakure, where Mist shinobi spotted them and sounded the alarm.
  • Genji recognized Mei Terumi and asked where the others were, and Mei Terumi told him they were all dead.

Ch. 157Subjugating Kirigakure

Hane forced Kirigakure to submit to Konoha by surrounding the village with towering waves, then appointed Mei Terumi to lead it as the Empire’s first naval army. He ordered Genji to help remove the Land of Water’s daimyo and nobles before flying off to confront a group hiding elsewhere in the country.

  • Mei Terumi revealed that Hane had saved her and said she had agreed to his demand that Kirigakure submit to him.
  • Genji rejected surrender, so Hane raised enormous waves around Kirigakure and threatened to drown the village.
  • Genji agreed to lead Kirigakure in submitting to Konoha, and Hane stopped the waves before they engulfed the village.
  • Hane appointed Mei Terumi to lead Kirigakure as the Empire’s first naval army and ordered Genji to report to the Central Government.
  • Hane ordered Kirigakure to deal with the Land of Water’s daimyo and nobles, then flew away to pursue a group hiding in the country.

Ch. 158Obito's Death

Hane cornered Akatsuki in their cave after sealing the mountain and demanded that Black Zetsu and Nagato serve him, while excluding Obito. He killed Obito and buried his body, leaving the remaining Akatsuki members trapped with Hane.

  • Nagato asked the returned Akatsuki members what they should do after their failed attack on Konoha and the loss of several members and the Three-Tails.
  • Black Zetsu warned Obito that Hane had arrived, and Obito discovered he could no longer access his Kamui Dimension.
  • Hane revealed that his seal held the entire mountain, preventing Black Zetsu from escaping, then demanded that Black Zetsu and Nagato serve him.
  • Obito attacked Hane with the Great Fireball Technique, but Hane stopped the flames, knocked Obito down, and broke his mask.
  • Hane impaled Obito, who used Izanagi and lost his Sharingan, then mocked his claims of loving Rin.
  • Hane crushed Obito with a rocky hand and buried his dead body beneath the earth.

Ch. 159Subduing the Akatsuki

Hane forced the Akatsuki to choose between serving him and being killed, then revived Kaguya-hime and made her swear to serve him. The chapter left Kaguya-hime learning that her sons had not asked Hane to bring her back.

  • Hane offered the Akatsuki submission and showed Nagato photographs of Konan living happily in Konoha.
  • Nagato relaxed after seeing Konan, while Black Zetsu pledged to serve Hane after learning Hane had freed Kaguya-hime and defeated Hamura.
  • Hane approached the Ten-Tails and opened his Eye of Truth, frightening the Akatsuki into looking away.
  • Hane used Netherworld Communion, Soul Summoning to revive Kaguya-hime from within the Ten-Tails.
  • Hane told the newly revived Kaguya-hime to call him Master, then said her sons were waiting outside.
  • Kaguya-hime asked whether Hagoromo and Hamura had requested her revival, and Hane said they had not.

Ch. 160Nagato and Konan

Hane revived Kaguya-hime and recruited Nagato to help Konoha spread fear as a pretext for unifying the nations. Nagato reunited with Konan in Konoha and agreed to become the Empire’s darkness so she could live in the peaceful future she valued.

  • Kaguya-hime reunited with Black Zetsu, while Hagoromo allowed Hane to do as he pleased and Hamura remained troubled.
  • Hane told Nagato and the Akatsuki to attack villages and major nations so Konoha could use the fear to justify annexation.
  • Hane promised Nagato and the Akatsuki new identities and a place in the Empire after their mission, and Nagato agreed to see Konan.
  • Konan embraced Nagato and urged him to stop opposing Konoha and live with her in the new nation.
  • Nagato learned how much Konan valued the peaceful nation and resolved to bear the hatred and pain as he helped Hane build the Empire.

Ch. 161Akatsuki's Actions

The Allied Shinobi Forces formed to resist Konoha, but Kirigakure’s submission to the Empire and repeated attacks by Akatsuki destabilized the alliance. The chapter ended with reports that Akatsuki had devastated Sunagakure and flattened Iwagakure.

  • Ōnoki persuaded the assembled village leaders to form the Allied Shinobi Forces and defend the Empire’s borders, while Black Zetsu secretly mocked their plans.
  • Mei Terumi led Kirigakure in assassinating the Land of Water’s daimyo and submitting the village to the Empire, prompting daimyo across the nations to recruit talented shinobi away from the alliance.
  • Akatsuki repeatedly attacked small ninja villages, forcing the Allied Shinobi Forces to divert troops to rescue them and leaving its command in disarray.
  • A Suna ninja reported that Akatsuki had taken Sunagakure’s Jinchuriki, injured Chiyo, and devastated the village; Ōnoki recognized Deidara as one of the attackers.
  • An Iwa ninja reported that Akatsuki had devastated Iwagakure, where a figure who spoke of pain flattened the village with a terrifying force, leaving Ōnoki stunned.

Ch. 162Orochimaru's Shock

Akatsuki, secretly backed by the Empire, drove the shinobi villages toward desperation while Konoha refused to help them. Chika Uchiha captured Orochimaru’s interest with an offer to advance his research, then revealed the Empire wanted him to use Impure World Reincarnation on an enormous collection of legendary shinobi; Orochimaru was left under threat after insulting the King.

  • Akatsuki’s attacks intensified, and the Empire-backed organization gained strength as Hane gave Nagato the Three-Tails and healed his injuries.
  • Hiashi refused the smaller villages’ pleas for help, and the Allied Shinobi Forces regrouped to search for Akatsuki’s base.
  • Nagato confronted Orochimaru at a secret experimental base, where Chika Uchiha revealed that the Empire wanted his Impure World Reincarnation research.
  • Chika Uchiha led Orochimaru and Akatsuki to a canyon filled with coffins of legendary shinobi and ordered Orochimaru to reanimate them.
  • Orochimaru questioned the Empire’s motives and insulted its King, prompting Chika Uchiha to threaten him with a terrifying presence.

Ch. 163Feel Pain!

Nagato’s Deva Path declared the Fourth Shinobi World War and unleashed Super Shinra Tensei on the Allied Shinobi Forces gathered in the Land of Iron. Hane watched events unfold while Akatsuki’s next target was expected to be Kumogakure.

  • Orochimaru demanded many sacrifices and help sharing the Chakra burden for controlling numerous Impure World Reincarnations, and Chika Uchiha agreed to provide them.
  • Nagato said the Ninja World needed to feel pain, while Hane noted that Akatsuki had gathered five Tailed Beasts and reflected on Kaguya-hime’s restored power.
  • Kaguya-hime offered to keep her chibi form because Hane liked it.
  • At the Land of Iron summit, Ōnoki, A, and Rasa discussed Akatsuki’s whereabouts and proposed gathering their forces in the Land of Lightning to defend Kumogakure.
  • The Deva Path appeared above the summit, declared the Fourth Shinobi World War, and struck the Allied Shinobi Forces with Super Shinra Tensei, burying those who could not escape.

Ch. 164Sarutobi Gets Beaten Up

The Impure World Reincarnation army overwhelmed the Allied Shinobi Forces, prompting Ōnoki to order a retreat toward the Empire. At the Akatsuki gathering place, Nagato and Orochimaru prepared more reincarnated shinobi, while Tobirama Senju emerged and began beating Sarutobi over Danzo’s human experiments.

  • The reincarnated army attacked the battered Allied Shinobi Forces, and the Third Raikage killed Raikage A while Killer B retaliated with a Super Tailed Beast Ball that also struck allies.
  • Ōnoki fought the reincarnated predecessors, then urged the Allied Shinobi Forces to flee toward the Empire as their only hope.
  • Nagato returned to Orochimaru and Kabuto’s gathering, where they used White Zetsu sacrifices to revive shinobi and prepared to bring out Madara after the Fourth and Third Hokage.
  • The Third Hokage and Minato emerged from their coffins, followed by Tobirama Senju, who confronted Orochimaru for using Impure World Reincarnation.
  • Tobirama Senju kicked Sarutobi to the ground and beat him while demanding to know whether he had known about Danzo’s human experiments.

Ch. 165Madara's Revival

Madara used Nagato to revive himself with the Rinne Rebirth Technique, then took back his Rinnegan and declared his intention to pursue his plan for peace. After learning that Hane and the Empire had transformed the world, Madara began to question whether his goals still fit the era.

  • Hashirama and Madara emerged through Impure World Reincarnation, and Madara asked Nagato why he had not used the Rinne Rebirth Technique.
  • Madara seized control of Nagato and forced him to perform the Rinne Rebirth Technique, restoring Madara to life before taking Nagato's Rinnegan.
  • Madara attacked Tobirama and declared that he would bring peace, while Deidara secretly treated Nagato and Nagato vanished from the hidden chamber.
  • Madara ordered Akatsuki to continue capturing the Tailed Beasts, but Kakuzu warned him that the Empire was too powerful to challenge.
  • Kakuzu told Madara about Hane and the ideals upheld by Konoha, leaving Madara questioning whether the world he saw matched the one he had wanted.

Ch. 166They All Submitted

The Allied Shinobi Forces reached the Empire’s border, where Uchiha Retsuyō demanded their submission in exchange for protection from the Impure World Reincarnation army. The villages submitted one after another, while Madara revealed his Eye of the Moon Plan to Hashirama before realizing he had been tricked.

  • Hashirama questioned Madara about his plans, prompting Madara to reveal the Eye of the Moon Plan before realizing Hashirama had tricked him.

Ch. 167The Decisive Battle Begins

Madara absorbed Hashirama and set out to defeat the Empire, while Black Zetsu offered a way to gather Chakra from the Tailed Beasts without attacking Konoha. At the border, the Imperial Army devastated the Impure World Reincarnation forces, and Madara entered the battle, only to evade Uchiha Sosuke’s Eye of Instant Death.

  • Madara absorbed Hashirama into his body and told Tobirama he would restore him after completing his plan.
  • Black Zetsu convinced Madara that he could obtain portions of the other Tailed Beasts’ Chakra, and Madara agreed to pursue the Empire instead of going to Konoha.
  • The Imperial Army’s 12th Division deployed twenty-four Susanoo, while Jiraiya’s Chakra cannons bombarded the Impure World Reincarnation army.
  • The Imperial forces overwhelmed the reanimated army with artillery, Susanoo, coordinated attacks, and sealing techniques, prompting Madara to question why his troops were so weak.
  • Madara flew onto the battlefield and challenged the Imperial forces, but Uchiha Sosuke used Eye of Instant Death, forcing Madara to abandon Shinra Tensei and vanish.

Ch. 168United Against Madara

Madara and Uchiha Retsuyō fought as the Twelve Golden Guards and Akatsuki joined the battlefield, while An Yi helped Retsuyō counter Madara’s invisible Limbo attacks. Madara summoned the Ten-Tails, leaving the battlefield facing a new threat.

  • Madara summoned the Ten-Tails, spreading its destructive chakra across the battlefield.

Ch. 169Ending Madara

Hane stopped Madara’s plan, had Kaguya revive the God Tree while preserving the Ninja World, and claimed victory for the Empire. Madara refused to submit to Hane, while the surviving leaders of the Allied Shinobi Forces faced the Empire’s triumph.

  • Madara trapped Uchiha Retsuyō, An Yi, and the other Golden Guards with the God Tree and prepared to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi, but Hane appeared above him.
  • Hane revealed that Black Zetsu had been working for him, and Black Zetsu pierced Madara’s chest as Kaguya absorbed Madara’s Six Paths Chakra.
  • Kaguya activated the Infinite Tsukuyomi and revived the God Tree, then stopped it from absorbing more Chakra and returned to Hane’s shoulder.
  • The ninjas awoke as Madara fell powerless, and Hane told him he had used Madara to bear the blame; Madara refused Hane’s offer to spare his life in exchange for submission.
  • Hane declared the war over and announced that the Empire would become the world’s only nation, prompting his soldiers to cheer while the Allied Shinobi Forces and the surviving Earth Shadow and Wind Shadow looked on helplessly.

Ch. 170The Curtain Falls

The Akatsuki staged their deaths in the final battle, allowing the Empire to claim victory and unite the Ninja World under Hane. As the Empire ushered in a new era, Mikoto gave birth to a daughter, bringing joy to Hane and his family.

  • Deidara, Kakuzu, Kisame, and the other Akatsuki members acted out convincing deaths, while Madara realized they had all been pretending to oppose the Empire and died in humiliation.
  • Uchiha Retsuyō reported that the Twelve Golden Guards had completed their tasks, and Hane ordered them to gather the bodies and return to the Empire.
  • The Empire integrated the ninja villages and defeated the resisting daimyo of the Land of Earth in Year 57 of Konoha, unifying the Ninja World and establishing Hane as its First Emperor.
  • The Empire used ninjutsu to improve barren, drought-stricken regions, while people gradually adapted to the new order.
  • Mikoto safely gave birth to a daughter, and Hane held his newborn sister as Itachi and Sasuke gathered around her.

Ch. 171Three Great Holy Lands

After his sister’s birth, Hane returned to managing the new Empire while Hagoromo and Hamura gathered the sages of the Three Great Holy Lands to oppose the God Tree. Hane confronted them through his golden eye, punished Hamura for interfering with the living world, and declared that his actions followed the World Will.

  • Hane handed his newborn sister to Fugaku, checked on Mikoto, and hurried back to the Empire Building to help govern the newly established Empire.
  • Hagoromo and Hamura discussed the God Tree’s threat to the Ninja World’s Natural Energy, and Hamura went to recruit the sages of the Three Great Holy Lands.
  • Hamura persuaded the Toad Sage to join him, and the sages and their summoned beasts gathered beneath the God Tree.
  • Hane opened his golden eye and addressed the assembled sages, explaining that the God Tree had benefits as well as harms.
  • Hane struck Hamura with Purple Firmament Thunder, punishing him for violating the rules of life and death and nearly damaging the Ninja World Origin.
  • Hane told Hagoromo that fate and the World Will governed his actions, leaving Hagoromo silent.

Ch. 172Six Paths' Enlightenment

Hane established humanity’s dominance over the Ninja World, killed the White Snake Sage for devouring human children, and reassured the nonhuman races that the God Tree would not exhaust Natural Energy. He then revealed that the Ninja World needed reincarnation, awakening the Sage of Six Paths to his mission in the Netherworld.

  • Hane used the Eye of Truth to expose the White Snake Sage’s slaughter of human children and destroyed her with a lightning tribulation.
  • Hane declared humanity the protagonist of the world and warned nonhuman races to submit or remain in their Summoning Realms.
  • Hane told the gathered beings that the God Tree was controlled by the Rabbit Goddess and that Natural Energy would recover after its rebirth period.
  • The Slug Sage departed after Hane promised the nonhuman races could survive the temporary decrease in Natural Energy, while the Toad Sage asked why he could no longer foresee the Ninja World’s future.
  • Hane explained to the Toad Sage that the world no longer needed his visions because Hane had become a Dao Integration cultivator.
  • Hane asked the Sage of Six Paths to govern the Netherworld and explained that the Ninja World needed reincarnation, prompting Hagoromo to realize his mission and awaken in power.

Ch. 173Six Paths of Reincarnation

Hagoromo established the Six Paths Wheel, sending the Ninja World’s dead into reincarnation according to their merits and sins. Hane instructed him to build the Underworld Bureaucracy, while the Toad Sage agreed to serve in the Underworld as keeper of the Soul-Washing Soup.

  • Hagoromo separated six figures from himself and, at Hane’s command, declared that all souls must enter reincarnation unless the emperor decreed otherwise.
  • The Six Paths Wheel sorted newly dead souls by merit and karmic force, assigning them to different paths before departing for the Underworld.
  • Hane sent Hagoromo guidance for establishing the Underworld Bureaucracy and warned him to preserve the boundaries between life and death.
  • Hagoromo told the Toad Sage to draw closer to the Empire and offered it an Underworld post, warning that it could no longer favor its clan.
  • The Toad Sage accepted, and Hagoromo appointed it to serve Soul-Washing Soup on the Rebirth Bridge.

Ch. 174The Truth of the World

Hane learned that his world was only a branch of the Main World and that its growing divergence could eventually cause it to disappear. The revelation left him questioning the meaning of his Dao Integration.

  • Hane returned to his office, where Kaguya thanked him for caring for Hagoromo and Hamura, and he ordered her to keep working through the documents.
  • Hane told Kaguya to summon Black Zetsu to help, and Black Zetsu eagerly left his mining work to answer his mother's call.
  • Konan asked Hane if she could see Yahiko in the Underworld, and he offered to tell her about Yahiko's reincarnation so she and Nagato could take him as a disciple.
  • Hane reflected on being stuck at ninety-nine percent Dao Integration and asked the system why he could not complete it.
  • The system revealed that Hane's world was a branch of the Main World and could vanish if it drifted too far from its origin.

Ch. 175Hane's Confusion

Hane learned that his world was an illusion and that the Dragon Vein could open a door to the Main World, where he could replace people and devour its origin. He chose to fight for his world’s survival and recruited Uchiha Retsuyō and the Twelve Golden Guards, leaving them ready to follow him into a bloody struggle.

  • The system told Hane that Uchiha Retsuyō had been the key to reality and that the Dragon Vein could open the door to the Main World.
  • The system explained that Hane could send no more than one hundred loyal people to replace their counterparts, but he must conceal them and never act personally.
  • Hane left Kaguya-hime and Konan, telling Konan to manage government affairs carefully, and went to the 12th Division.
  • Hane asked Uchiha Retsuyō and the Twelve Golden Guards whether he could trust them completely, even if the struggle put their relatives at risk.
  • Hane told them their world was false and described the coming conflict; Retsuyō and the Twelve Golden Guards pledged to follow his orders.
