Although he suspected that the person had something to do with their fall into the swamp, he absolutely would not curse at him aloud.

After all, their lives were at stake.

He could settle the score with that person after he was safe. For now, he had to swallow his pride.

He would tempt him with profit. Everything could wait until they got out of the swamp.

The masked man beside the masked captain looked shocked and wanted to say something, but the captain glared him into silence.

Thirty seconds passed without a response.

The masked captain did not mind and continued, "Friend, our main force is on Victory Road. I already called them just now, and they'll be here soon! As long as you get us out, I'll reward you properly. Money is negotiable!"

This was a threat. He lied about having a large force so that the ambusher would hesitate. If he ran away, there was a good chance he would be caught.

If he did not want to be caught, he should obediently save them.

The masked captain was betting that Heiduo was a coward. After all, this guy had set a trap instead of attacking head-on. His strength could not be that impressive.

He also assumed that Beedrill's defeat of the three Pokémon was because Corsola, Machamp, and the others were already exhausted.

However, he did not know that Heiduo understood their situation. Their so-called main force was merely a single person with the strength of a Top Trainer.

Umbreon communicated with Heiduo through Telepathy.
