Heiduo set the iron-pot-shaped radar, which was nearly as large as his upper body, on the ground. Then he pulled the wiring out from the base and connected it to the radar. Only after finishing did he roll his eyes at Umbreon.

"Alright, quit acting smug after getting such a bargain."

The radar had come from some Chief Ranger. Apparently, it was an obsolete piece of old technology that served a purpose similar to a signal base station from Heiduo's previous life.

It had practically been sold and gifted to Heiduo at the same time, allowing him to keep up with the outside world even in a remote mountain backwater like Mt. Silver.
