Heiduo would never have believed that his first gain after coming to Kalos would be the Evolution Stone he wanted—and that it would practically deliver itself to his doorstep.
Had Mairin found a Mega Stone in the original story?
Heiduo did not know. Mairin's past existed only in scattered fragments; no one knew how much bullying she had endured, nor how many hardships she had suffered.

In the games, Mairin had eventually accepted Xerosic's E-Suit and become the Night Walker who protected Lumiose City.
In the generational anime, she became International Police agent Looker's assistant.
In Pokémon Adventures, she and Kurokail lived happily ever after.
They were all good endings.
Heiduo felt that Mairin did have luck on her side; she just had to go through all kinds of suffering first.
