The hypnosis wore off. 😲🏆 ☝🐨
Heiduo slowly "came to."
"W-what happened?" He rubbed his eyes, then jumped when he saw that he was lying on a sofa.
If you were going to act, you had to see it through.
"Nothing. We merely gave you your final test. Sers, welcome to the Shadow Team family! I'm Uma. The one who recruited you was Naps, and this is Petro. The three of us are official members responsible for Gateon Port." Of the two young men, Uma was the colder one. He had ordinary brown hair, a gaunt face, and looked to be somewhere between twenty-five and thirty.
The other one, Petro, who loved butting heads with Naps, was much younger, probably only in his early twenties. He had an unremarkable appearance, black hair, and blue eyes. His gaze was full of mockery, making him seem like the difficult sort at a glance.
There was no need to say anything about Naps.
After that, Uma dutifully informed Heiduo about his salary, benefits, room for advancement, and so on. Like a senior employee introducing a newcomer to a company, Uma was there to familiarize him with the workplace.
"I'm an external hire? Then when can I become an official member?" Heiduo asked curiously. "Do I need to earn merits, or something?"
Uma paused slightly. He had not expected Heiduo to care so much about becoming official, but then he felt that it was only natural. The benefits for external hires and internal members were completely different, after all.
"That's right, you need to earn merits. But let me make this clear first: we serve under Executive Vazir. Executive Vazir's current task is to maintain stability. Don't stir up trouble. If you want a quick promotion, that probably won't happen."
Heiduo immediately looked disappointed.
