The Cultural Education School was on break.
Like Japan, schools in this world followed a three-break system.
Summer break, winter break, and spring break.
At first glance, it seemed wonderful, but in reality, the total number of vacation days was not even as long as the two breaks in his previous life combined. It was short by nearly a month.
Of course, it was still better than having no breaks at all.
And so—
As an older female student, Blue happily left the school gates with two classmates she got along well with, laughing together in delight at the arrival of summer break.
"Blue, how about we go to Saffron City together this summer?"
"Yeah, yeah! I have relatives over there! And I heard a new shopping mall just opened!"
The two rather pretty girls clung to Blue on either side, their bright smiles brimming with youthful energy.
"Sure—" Blue smiled, about to agree, when she caught sight of a boy standing silently by the school gate, waiting for her.
His head was lowered, and he carried a paper bag in one hand.
Her eyes lit up. She immediately broke free from the girls' embrace and winked her right eye at them. "I'd love to say yes, but unfortunately, I might not have the time."
"Ehh—"
"Come on, let's go together!"
The two girls wanted to persuade her further, but Blue had already skipped away like a lark. She backed away as she apologized to them, all while drawing closer to the boy.
Realizing what was happening, the two girls immediately complained:
"Choosing boys over friends!"
"Blue, you're going to lose us like this!"
But Blue had already gone far away.
Only one sentence was left behind.
"I'll bring you something nice, don't worry, don't worry."
