The first thing he did after picking up Blue.
He took her out to eat, then went back to Pallet Town.
That was right. Heiduo was just that upright a man—he would never take excessive advantage of a girl before the final moment.
Of course, the girl's father's "warning," as well as the girl's own wishes, had something to do with it too.
But they accounted for very little, since Heiduo's character was plain for all to see.
Viridian City.
Inside an upscale restaurant.
A plate of thoroughly mangled food sat before Blue. She sucked on her scallion-like fingers and complained to Heiduo, "It doesn't taste as good as yours. What a loss."
"You're the one who wanted to come here. No wasting food. Finish it all."
Heiduo ignored Blue's coquettish attempts to curry favor and replied impassively.
"Tch! Cheapskate!"
Seeing that he wasn't taking the bait, Blue pursed her lips and muttered.
Then she viciously stabbed a broccoli-like vegetable with her fork, stuffed it into her mouth, and chewed with her cheeks puffed out like a hamster's, all while glaring at Heiduo.
She looked thoroughly angry.
However, since similar situations had occurred dozens of times already, and Heiduo had fallen for it once, he naturally had no intention of falling for it again.
This girl loved dining at fancy restaurants. She never ordered much, but she could never finish her food, always finding excuses to make Heiduo eat her leftovers.
A baffling idea.
But Heiduo knew it had something to do with her past experiences.
By the latter half of the first generation of Pokémon Adventures, one might only see Blue's shining qualities. But only after truly spending a long time with her had Heiduo come to fully understand Blue as a person, both her strengths and her flaws.
