Rumble...
At some point, the once-clear sky had instantly turned dark and oppressive. Thunder serpents occasionally darted through the heavy clouds, brilliant blue flashes bursting forth before swiftly fading away.
Dark clouds pressed over the city; storm winds were coming.
Taiyi shook his head with a smile, endless radiance surging around him.
The radiance seemed to carry scorching heat. The surrounding air churned and rolled beneath the outpouring energy, faintly distorting.
He looked at Lincon, a trace of helplessness hidden in his eyes.
"They finally came. Although I knew this day would come, I hadn't expected it so soon."
Lincon frowned without speaking. The Space Worm had already spat the Crystal Communicator from its spatial stomach pouch into his hand, where it buzzed without pause.
Considering the situation, even if he did not answer it, he could roughly guess what had happened.
Taiyi glanced at the Crystal Communicator in Lincon's hand. Seemingly recalling something, he smiled faintly and looked back toward the sky.
Several figures with towering, terrifying auras had already appeared in the heavens.
One of them was as massive as a mountain, thunder and storms accompanying it. Each step it took created a gigantic vortex among the clouds, and the thunder grew denser, rumbling endlessly.
Behind a black-and-red dragon with hideous wings followed a dense swarm of flying creatures. They came in all shapes and sizes, clearly not from the same race, yet they had been united and were spreading forward at tremendous speed.
Lincon was quite familiar with another figure. They had fought at the Divine Lake of Souls not long ago, and he had ultimately branded an Overlord Mark onto its forehead, forcing it to flee in panic.
