Naturally, the secret was not that Soul River had originated from some powerful being. God Emperor meant something else.
"The true source of Soul River lies in its oldest stretch of water. There's a secret hidden there. While investigating it, I happened to discover an ancient passage!"
"A passage? Where does it lead?" Jiang Yun asked.
"I don't know. I touched it for only an instant before sensing that something terrifying was about to happen, so I withdrew. Even so, it put me through hell. If you hadn't intervened today, Senior, I'd probably have met with disaster."
God Emperor still shuddered at the memory. Jiang Yun, however, knew the man would be alive and well in the future. Perhaps he would obtain some heaven-defying Fortune, or perhaps he would transform into a Dao Ancestor and thus escape the strange aura's corruption.
"Inside that passage, I faintly sensed the aura of Calamity Plateau's Ancestral Land!"
God Emperor finally voiced his suspicion, though his contact had been too brief for him to be certain.
