Bonus Story 2
The next morning, Cyrus slowly woke up from her sleep. A ray of sunlight slanted through the window and onto the bed, making her feel warm all over.
With his eyes closed, he first stretched out his legs—no, his limbs—and his pink paw pads suddenly touched something furry.
"Meow?"
Cyrus opened her eyes in confusion and looked over—the person who had been lying by the bed was nowhere to be seen, but instead, a large, robust cat with thick fur remained.
This cat has pure black fur all over its body. It is a long-haired cat with high-set ears, a slightly fluffy tail, and a fur collar around its neck, making it look very majestic and handsome.
At this moment, the cat was staring at Cyrus with its golden eyes. Seeing that he had finally woken up, it couldn't help but go up and lick the Ragdoll Cat's head.
Cyrus snapped out of her daze, quickly scrambled to her feet, and tentatively meowed at the big cat, "A-Sai?"
The black cat let out a low, guttural meow. "It's me."
Xia, the Ragdoll Cat, immediately pounced on the big black cat. "Meow meow meow?"
--Ah A-Sai, how did you turn into a cat too?!
Segalote woke up before Shazoi, and immediately sensed something was wrong.
But with the example of Cyrus yesterday, Segalot wasn't too alarmed. After his initial surprise, he calmly lay down on the bed and quietly waited for Cyrus to wake up.
Cyrus sent another email to 098 to inquire about this issue.
A short while later, 098 replied to the email: The system bug is in its final fixing stage. Since the Emperor is the host's partner, he will also be affected to some extent. This is normal. Please don't worry. Once the system bug is resolved, the host and the Emperor will return to normal.
Seeing this, Cyrus felt relieved.
He meowed to soothe Segalot, and only then did he have the leisure to observe what breed of cat His Holiness the Pope was. It was surprisingly much bigger than him.
"A-Sai, you're a Maine Coon!" Cyrus exclaimed in surprise.
Upon hearing this, Segalot stood up and shook its fur. Its thick, black fur was incredibly smooth, and its tail hung down, sweeping across the pillow like a thick brush.
The fluffy fur around the neck, in particular, gives the Maine Coon a majestic appearance.
Cyrus couldn't help but circle around the Emperor's crown twice, only to find that the Ragdoll Cat was not only shorter than the Maine Coon, but also shorter, only reaching a little behind the Maine Coon's waist.

"A-Sai, hello big!" Cyrus couldn't help but exclaim.
Segalot narrowed his golden eyes, leaned closer, and licked Cyrus's fur again. He seemed to be adapting well to being a cat, and soon mastered the skills.
Cyrus lay limply on Segalot's body, wagging her tail contentedly.
However, it wasn't long before he gradually realized that something was wrong.
The more Segalot licked, the further down...
Cyrus quickly kicked his face with her hind legs, then rolled over and got up, escaping from under the muscular Maine Coon.
He scurried under the blanket, only peeking out with his head. "Meow!"
What do you want?!
Segalot calmly sat up straight. "Sweetie, don't do anything. The cat's place is too small; you're not used to it."
Cyrus: "..."
Even after turning into a cat, you can still act like a scoundrel?!
He angrily slapped away the Maine Coon's outstretched paw.
Just then, a knock sounded at the door. Aside from Judas, no one else would come in the morning.
The Maine Coon cat jumped down to open the door.
There are two cats in the room, but no one is there.
Upon seeing the newly appeared large black cat, Judas clearly realized that this black cat was none other than His Holiness the Pope.
Although she didn't know why the Emperor, like the Lord, had turned into a cat, Judas still managed to arrange everything after her initial surprise.
Cyrus still wanted to go find the fluffy creatures.
He walked to the door, jumped up to open it, then turned and meowed at Segalot and Judas before going out first.
Segalot followed behind.
Judas followed closely behind.
Without yesterday's free "ride," Cyrus slowly walked on the carpet in the corridor, her perspective noticeably lower and less obstructed.
He looked around and found a new and exciting way to play: taking advantage of the cat's agility, he would leap from the hallway carpet to the windowsill, run a few steps, and then jump down again, enjoying it immensely.
Segalot's golden eyes were fixed on Cyrus.
Judas also walked and stopped frequently.
It seems that what you fear most has come to pass.
As Cyrus jumped down from the windowsill again, his four paws slipped, and just as he was about to fall, the Maine Coon cat, like a black lightning bolt, leaped up and grabbed Cyrus by the scruff of his neck, carrying him back to safety.
Judas's heart instantly sank back into his stomach.
He stopped, no longer approaching, his eyes downcast, ignoring the large black cat scolding the Ragdoll Cat that had nearly fallen off the windowsill.
"Meow..."
Cyrus drooped her ears listlessly, "I know I was wrong."
Segalot couldn't bear to discipline his precious darling. He sighed, jumped off the windowsill with Cyrus, and then knelt down, saying, "Get on."
Cyrus: "A-Sai, are you carrying me on your back?"
Segalot responded, his bristle-like tail gently brushing against Cyrus's body. "Get on, I'll take you away."
The provincial authorities are keeping a close eye on it.
Upon hearing this, Cyrus carefully climbed onto the Maine Coon's back, his paws extended, ready to jump off at any moment, fearing that Segalot might not be able to support him.
But the Maine Coon was clearly in excellent physical condition, and easily stood up.
Segalot carried Cyrus steadily to the door of the fluffy creatures' room.
Judas opened the door for the two cats.
After saying "Go" to Segalot, Cyrus jumped off the big black cat's back and headed straight for Rollie.
Later, at Segalot's prompting, Judas also left.
The furry creatures were clearly familiar with the Ragdoll Cat that smelled of Cyrus, but were obviously unfamiliar with this black cat that had never appeared before.
In particular, the scent on this black cat was clearly familiar.
Black Sugar and Eggy approached, one with a puzzled expression and the other with curiosity.
Eggy wanted to get closer to sniff it, but was glared at by those golden eyes and couldn't help but shrink back.
The dog tentatively extended its paw, but ultimately chose to back away cautiously.
--Another cat it can't mess with.
Black Sugar didn't approach; it lay down beside Segalot, its long tail swishing in front of it. Segalot pinned it down with a paw, and after releasing its paw, Black Sugar's tail never swung back.
After bullying the Rollie for a while, Cyrus ran towards Segalot.
"A-Sai, I'll take you out to play!"
"I'm not going."
"Why?" Cyrus saw the Maine Coon sitting upright and couldn't help but step on its two front paws—two smaller white paws instantly rested on the Maine Coon's round, large black paws.
Segalot glanced down.
Cyrus pressed, "Why don't you go? It's so much fun outside! I'll take you to catch butterflies."
Segalot: "..."
The Ragdoll Cat rubbed against the Maine Coon's fur collar, swishing its tail and meowing as if to say, "Go away, go away."
The Maine Coon's defenses crumbled in no time.
Segalot sighed, nuzzled the Ragdoll Cat's ear, and said, "Go for a walk and come back. Don't run around."
Cyrus nodded repeatedly, "No problem."
Although he was accompanied by a group of fluffy creatures, Segalot was still not at ease, so he had Judas accompany him as well, just in case he needed to do something.
After Judas understood what she meant, he thoughtfully prepared lunch for her to take with her.
Once inside the forest, Segalot finally understood why Cyrus had been playing so wildly after turning into a kitten the day before.
Because there are so many "dynamic" things in the mountains and forests, they can always attract cats to hunt them.
As Segalot watched Cyrus chase after the butterflies, he couldn't help but feel a little tempted to do the same.
But he ultimately held back.
After playing for a while, he called for Cyrus to come back, but the kitten, who was so engrossed in playing, didn't hear him at all.
--The Ragdoll Cat stood up and perched on the tree, raising its head and staring intently at the birds on the branches.
Segalot saw the Ragdoll Cat first arch its body slightly, then hook its paws onto the tree trunk and slowly climb up—its target was clearly the little bird that was preening its feathers.
Unfortunately, it was just a hair's breadth away; the bird was still startled and flew away.
"Meow." Cyrus stood on the branch, flicking her tail dejectedly.
Just as he was about to turn around and go down, the big black cat, which had also quietly come up, suddenly pounced on him— the Ragdoll Cat was instantly pinned to the tree trunk and cried out in fright.
Before Cyrus could react, his ear was nibbled.
The trees in the forest are all centuries old, with thick and sturdy trunks that can easily support the weight of two cats.
Segalot said sternly, "Come down with me."
Cyrus followed behind, looking aggrieved, and jumped down from the tree trunk.
"As I said before, I don't go to high places."
Afterwards, Segalot settled the score with the dejected kitten. "But you obviously didn't listen."
Cyrus stomped her paw. "I forgot..."
He immediately raised a paw and scratched at the ear that had been gnawed, and seeing that His Majesty still wanted to discipline him, he instantly whimpered and lay down on the ground, rolling around.
"Waaah, you bit my ear and it hurts! You have to pay for it!"
Segalot: "..."
He glanced around; the wise butler had already looked away. The furry creatures were either tilting their heads curiously or lying on the ground like kittens...
Cyrus twisted his body, fully demonstrating the flexibility of a cat. To make it look more realistic, he even covered his ear with a white paw.
Segalot had no choice but to walk over and lower his head. "Sweetie, let me see."
Cyrus grunted and loosened her grip.
The big black cat knew the Ragdoll Cat beneath it was faking it, but it still gently licked its ear, and said afterward, "Don't be so naughty, I'll worry."
The Maine Coon touched the Ragdoll Cat's mouth.
Cyrus squeezed into the big black cat's fur collar, obediently nodding and promising, "I will definitely not make the same mistake again."
After returning from the mountains, the two cats took a bath and, with Judas's help, dried their fur.
Of course, it was mainly for wiping the Ragdoll Cat. After rubbing itself on the dry towel, the big black cat went to the balcony to get some fresh air.
At night, the two cats snuggled together under the covers and slept.
In the middle of the night, 098 quietly returned after fixing a system bug, and the two cats under the blanket gradually returned to human form.
