Klein shrugged. "Don't blame me. That was the Celestial Worthy's doing."

He had only let the Celestial Worthy awaken in that Historical Projection for a moment. Who knew someone who looked so formidable would have so little resistance to a Mythological Creature?

Unfortunately, after waking, the Celestial Worthy had obediently gone back to sleep.

Klein recalled those patterned, slimy tentacles retreating from Su Lin and silently edged away.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"The Celestial Worthy influenced me."

That was how Klein explained himself to Su Lin. "Couldn't find Brother Li, so you came looking for me? Brother Li, it's about time you came back."

There was nothing wrong with being cautious around a thing of unknown origins, but surely he didn't need to hide this long. Was he worried it might lash out with some last-ditch trick?
