Background

Meng Qi was a Shaolin disciple when his master fought the Weeping Elder in the Hanhai. Unable to assist in the duel, he chose to protect his junior brother instead, only to be pursued by An Guoxie, the White-Headed Vulture. The pursuit forced Meng Qi to open his apertures and fight far beyond his previous limits; he gravely wounded An Guoxie with the Anan Precept-Breaking Sabre Technique before exhaustion left him captured. Ji Hao intervened and killed An Guoxie, treating Meng Qi as a younger brother while allowing the trial to temper him first. 729

He subsequently entered the Six Paths of Samsara Realm and became part of a recurring group of Samsara travelers. His growth brought both fame and embarrassing public titles, including “Mang King Kong,” “Thunder Saber Mad Monk,” and the Human Ranking designation “Gentleman Sword.” 741 742
