Background

Leng Yaozhu is the elder daughter of the Leng Family and the older sister of Leng Yulai. She and Yulai originally arrived at Shrek Academy in their own era to participate in an exchange program. The instant Yaozhu entered the academy, a beam of light separated her from her sister and transported her roughly ten thousand years into the past, where she fell into Lin Fan’s arms. She identified the era after learning that Mu En was the current Sea God Pavilion Master. 1

Unable to return home and aware that her presence could alter the future, Yaozhu initially conceals her origin. Lin Fan becomes her principal source of security in the past, protecting her secret and arranging a place for her to stay. 9 12 20

She is compassionate toward people afflicted by dangerous Martial Souls. Learning that Ma Xiaotao’s Evil Fire had previously gone out of control, Yaozhu worries about victims who may have suffered without justice. Her concern is influenced partly by her younger sister Leng Yulai, whose mutated Martial Soul has affected her personality. 5 31

Lin Fan’s Future-Era Collaborator

After receiving a fire-attribute Soul Bone from Lin Fan, Yaozhu turns over her Storage Soul Tool and offers him access to future technology. She teaches him mecha design, and his mastery of that knowledge produces a One-Word Battle Armor blueprint whose signed copy later appears in the Leng Family’s future storage room. 16 18

Yaozhu also safeguards the secret that One-Word Battle Armor technology originated from her future-era knowledge, allowing Lin Fan to receive public credit for it. 27

Hidden Azure Pavilion Member
