Background

Leng Yaozhu is the elder daughter of the Leng Family and the older sister of Leng Yulai. She and Yulai originally arrived at Shrek Academy in their own era to participate in an exchange program. The instant Yaozhu entered the academy, a beam of light separated her from her sister and transported her roughly ten thousand years into the past, where she fell into Lin Fan’s arms. She identified the era after learning that Mu En was the current Sea God Pavilion Master. 1

Unable to return home and aware that her presence could alter the future, Yaozhu initially conceals her origin. Lin Fan becomes her principal source of security in the past, protecting her secret and arranging a place for her to stay. 9 12 20

The Leng Family serves in administrative rather than technical roles within the Spirit Pagoda. Although Yaozhu possesses a Soul Spirit and understands its practical advantages, she has not accessed the organization’s core Soul Spirit Technology. Her family also invested substantial resources in securing a senior Spirit Pagoda position for her. 34 103

A second unexplained beam of light eventually returns her to her original era. After her connection to the past makes her a target for major factions, Lin Fan crosses the ten-thousand-year divide to rescue her. She is compassionate toward people afflicted by dangerous Martial Souls. Learning that Ma Xiaotao’s Evil Fire had previously gone out of control, Yaozhu worries about victims who may have suffered without justice. Her concern is influenced partly by her younger sister Leng Yulai, whose mutated Martial Soul has affected her personality. 5 31

Despite adapting outwardly to her displacement, Yaozhu is homesick and fears that changing the past may endanger her family’s future. She chooses to continue living and contributing in the past rather than surrendering to that uncertainty. 18 20 34

Lin Fan’s extraordinary talent and concentration sometimes make her self-conscious about her own abilities, particularly when she considers her responsibility for Battle Armor materials. Her attachment to Lin Fan develops into a firm personal commitment. Yaozhu’s arrival creates the central connection between Shrek Academy’s past and the future observers watching through the Light Screen. Her knowledge of later history repeatedly exposes contradictions between historical records and the events she witnesses firsthand. 1 39

Her transfer also has direct consequences for Lin Fan’s development. The future-era Black-Rank Mecha she brings is associated with the awakening of his Time Martial Soul, while her technological knowledge supplies further opportunities for his research. Lin Fan’s Future-Era Collaborator

After receiving a fire-attribute Soul Bone from Lin Fan, Yaozhu turns over her Storage Soul Tool and offers him access to future technology. She teaches him mecha design, and his mastery of that knowledge produces a One-Word Battle Armor blueprint whose signed copy later appears in the Leng Family’s future storage room. 16 18

Yaozhu also safeguards the secret that One-Word Battle Armor technology originated from her future-era knowledge, allowing Lin Fan to receive public credit for it. 27

Yaozhu joins Hidden Azure Pavilion after discovering that Lin Fan is its founder. She receives a communication pendant and becomes involved in the organization’s technological projects. 31 47

After Lin Fan and his allies leave Shrek Academy, Yaozhu relocates with them to the Hidden Azure Pavilion headquarters near the Ming Dou Mountain Range. 62

When Azure Abyss Academy is established, Lin Fan exempts Yaozhu and Ling Luochen from teaching duties so they can concentrate on cultivation and preparation for the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament. 75

Yaozhu and Ling Luochen subsequently accompany Lin Fan and a Level 50 pavilion member to the Mingdu Great Forest for a practical experiment. Lin Fan successfully transforms a Ten Thousand Year mutant swamp crocodile into a Soul Spirit, providing the member with a black fifth Soul Ring and realizing the early development Yaozhu had hoped for. 63

Far Northern Land Expedition

Yaozhu travels with Lin Fan and Ling Luochen toward the Far Northern Land to acquire materials for Ling Luochen’s One-Word Battle Armor. During the expedition, she witnesses Lin Fan create a Soul Spirit Skill Book and helps operate his ore-detecting equipment. 64

She later accompanies them on another expedition after Ling Luochen reaches Level 60. Luochen defeats an approximately seventy-thousand-year Extreme Cold Ice-Armored Bear, which Lin Fan then turns into her Soul Spirit. Yaozhu does not require a new Soul Ring herself at this point and already possesses her customized Two-Word Battle Armor. 92

Personalized Cultivation and Tournament Preparation

Lin Fan helps Yaozhu address her mobility weakness by developing a speed-type Self-Created Soul Skill around the Heavenly Phoenix’s explosive flames. While she comprehends the technique in his Mind Space, he breaks through to Level 95. Afterward, he recalls her promise to take him to the Divine Realm if she becomes a god first and expresses confidence that they can pursue godhood together. 20 75

Ling Luochen’s attainment of Ultimate Ice inspires Yaozhu to seek Ultimate Fire, though she recognizes the difficulty of obtaining an appropriate Immortal Herb. After her rescue and return to Hidden Azure Pavilion, Lin Fan reminds her that the Continental Advanced Soul Master Academy Elite Tournament begins the following day. Yaozhu earnestly agrees to perform well in the upcoming matches. 111

Return to Her Original Era

The mysterious light reappears during Lin Fan’s seclusion and transports Yaozhu back to the Leng Family storage room in her original era. Her father and Leng Yulai reunite with her in tears. They explain that the Light Screen broadcast her experiences to the entire continent, embarrassing her when she realizes that her affectionate interactions with Lin Fan were observed. 97 98

Her disappearance from the past coincides with an expansion of the Light Screen’s viewing range. Future observers can now use their thoughts to select views throughout the ancient continent rather than remain limited to her surroundings. 98

Her father shows her the surviving One-Word Battle Armor blueprint bearing Lin Fan’s signature. Although relieved to see her family again, she realizes that returning home has separated her from the man she loves by ten thousand years. 98

Attempt to Preserve Lin Fan’s Legacy

Distressed by the uncertainty surrounding Lin Fan’s fate and the destruction of Hidden Azure Pavilion over the intervening millennia, Yaozhu announces her intention to rebuild the organization in her own era. She asks Leng Yulai to take her place in the Spirit Pagoda, choosing the pavilion’s legacy over the influential position secured by her family. Her father initially objects but ultimately agrees. 103

At Yulai’s suggestion, the sisters search revised history books for information about Lin Fan. Despite changes to the historical record and the continued existence of Hidden Azure Pavilion’s ruins, they find no mention of him. The unexplained erasure leaves Yaozhu without an answer about his fate. 103 104

The family keeps her return secret, and her father conditions his approval of the rebuilding plan on her remaining inside the estate while the Light Screen is present. Yaozhu accepts the restriction but warns that powerful factions might force entry even without evidence that she has returned. 104

Siege of the Leng Family Estate

Yaozhu’s possible return attracts competing schemes from Shrek Academy, the Spirit Pagoda, the Holy Spirit Cult, the Sun Moon Federation, the War God Temple, and the Star Luo Empire. These powers regard her connection to the past as a means of influencing their own futures, although she does not control the mysterious light responsible for her transfers. 98 99

As hostile forces approach, her father hides her in the storage room, hoping its apparent connection to a space-time node might permit another transfer. Long Yeyue demands permission to search the residence, while the Ghost Emperor threatens to destroy it unless Yaozhu is surrendered. The Spirit Pagoda and War God Temple also arrive, turning the confrontation into a gathering of major powers. 106

Long Yeyue refuses to help oppose the Holy Spirit Cult unless Yaozhu is handed over. She then accepts the Ghost Emperor’s proposed alliance and attacks the estate, collapsing buildings and exposing Yaozhu’s underground hiding place. 107

Lin Fan’s Rescue and Voluntary Return to the Past

Lin Fan arrives as Long Yeyue attempts to seize Yaozhu. He severs Long Yeyue’s hand with a Spatial Blade, reassures Yaozhu, and restores the damaged residence through time manipulation. He then kills the Ghost Emperor and the accompanying Evil Soul Masters, challenging the remaining experts to declare whether they also intend to harm her. His presence immediately restores Yaozhu’s sense of security. 108

After killing Long Yeyue and defeating Chen Xinjie, Lin Fan explains that a token left with Yaozhu served as his teleportation anchor. He cannot affect the Light Screen and cannot remain in the future indefinitely because the era’s laws reject him; at this stage, he can make only one round trip across the time divide. 110

Lin Fan asks whether Yaozhu wishes to remain with her family or leave with him. Torn between her loved ones, she receives encouragement from both her father and Yulai and chooses to accompany him. Lin Fan leaves the family a piece of Black Jade containing one full-power attack for protection, then takes her through a spatial rift. 110

They arrive back at Hidden Azure Pavilion, where Yaozhu expresses gratitude for his rescue. Lin Fan reiterates his promise to protect her, and she resumes preparations for the approaching academy tournament. 111
