"Interesting. Security is so tight here. Are these single-digit vaults used by those people?"

The goblin manager looked toward the end of the tunnel where the vaults were located, pointed at several faint lights in the darkness, and explained to Roy.

"Vaults 1 through 4 are for Gringotts' internal use. They contain confidential scrolls and treasures belonging to Gringotts, so naturally they receive the highest level of security."

The goblin manager then pointed toward the fork to their right.

"Vaults 5 and 6 over there are the largest. They belong to the British Ministry of Magic. There is not much stored inside, but as for what exactly is in them, we do not know, nor do we wish to know."

Next, the goblin manager pointed to Vaults 8, 9, and 10 beside Vault 7 in front of them.

"These vaults, like your Vault 7, are Hogwarts property. Back when Gringotts had just been founded, the four founders helped Gringotts solve quite a few problems, so Gringotts gifted each founder a vault and promised never to charge any management fees. Later, control of these vaults was handed over to Hogwarts' successive headmasters. However, these vaults are all empty now. Hogwarts' funds were later transferred to Vault 999, which was excavated during Gringotts' second expansion."

"Hmm, interesting." Hogwarts truly had deep pockets. There were actually four such vaults in the deepest part of Gringotts.

Roy pointed at Vault 7 before him and asked Lupin.

"So, did Dumbledore give you the key?"

Lupin shook his head, and the goblin manager promptly explained to Roy.

"No, Mr. Smee. Single-digit vaults use Protection Magic. No key is needed here."

Carrying a lantern, the goblin manager walked to the vault door, placed his hand in the hand-shaped groove beside it, and murmured a string of passwords.
