  • Aisling warned Roy that twenty-one pursuers had surrounded the cabin and told him to hide with her in the suitcase.
  • The kidnappers carried the suitcase to America using a Portkey, while Roy and Aisling waited inside.

  • Roy spotted shadows approaching their campsite and extinguished the campfire as American Aurors surrounded the tent.
  • Roy ambushed the Aurors, knocked all eight unconscious, searched their memories, and planted false leads before moving them away from camp.
  • Roy looted the Aurors for food, water, and a map, learned they were near Valentine, and decided to head east toward Britain.
  • Roy kept watch through the night while Aisling slept, then shared compressed biscuits with her at breakfast.
  • After Aisling washed and regained some strength, she and Roy packed up and set off toward Valentine.

  • Surrounded and unable to Apparate, Roy and Aisling prepared Fiendfyre and Amaterasu, forming two enormous fire dragons against their attackers.

Ch. 107Escape in Disarray

Roy and Aisling escaped Walter White’s attackers, but Roy was badly injured by Fiendfyre and the strain of Apparition. Aisling treated him and hid them aboard a freight train, which began carrying them away as she lost consciousness.

  • Roy used the destruction caused by Fiendfyre to Apparate away with Aisling and their luggage while Walter White ordered his people to pursue them and delay Dumbledore.
  • Roy arrived at a freight train transfer station with severe burns and bleeding ribs, then collapsed after directing Aisling toward their backpack and the train.
  • Aisling used the Potions Roy carried to stop his bleeding, treated his burns, and moved him and their luggage into a freight car loaded with potatoes.
  • Aisling made a bed for Roy and gave him water before the train began moving; exhausted, she lost consciousness beside him.

Ch. 108The Sea

Roy dreamed of his former life as a GTI agent, then woke in a freight train beside Aisling after nearly two days unconscious. They emerged onto a deserted shore, where Roy resolved to fight on and make things turn out differently.

  • In a dream, Roy rode a helicopter with Instructor Deep Blue and Kai Silva, who comforted him about missing his family and praised his courage in battle.

  • The Thunderbird struck the pursuing enforcers with lightning, then approached Roy and asked him to pet it.
  • The Thunderbird’s magic healed Roy’s injuries, replenished his magic, and strengthened his Ancient Magic.
  • Roy discovered he could cast a powerful Electric Shock Arrow without a wand or incantation.
  • The Thunderbird indicated that it had helped Roy because of the Hufflepuff Pendant, then flew away.
  • Aisling used the Killing Curse to execute the fallen enforcers and then told Roy to leave with her.

Ch. 112No Escape

Roy and Aisling camped in the forest after the battle, where he worried about her reliance on the Killing Curse and sensed that she understood the danger he faced. • Roy drew the black-clad wizards north, then ambushed and knocked them unconscious with Chidori Sharp Spear.
  • Roy used Legilimency to learn that the nearby search parties were converging, then set off Fred and George’s firework to draw them in.

  • Roy sprang up, crushed the Golden Rose, and used a chain-spreading Killing Curse that killed dozens of wizards.

Ch. 115Killer Bee

  • Roy’s ultimate expired as the pursuers blocked his way back, and he revealed his face and told them they had fallen for it.

Ch. 116I Stay

Under Imperio, Aisling rode a bus toward New York, believing Roy was likely dead or captured, but the song on the radio changed her mind. She got off and headed back toward the forest, where she encountered Walter White alone.

  • Aisling waited for a bus in the storm and boarded it for New York while still under Roy's Imperio.
  • As the bus departed, painful memories returned to Aisling, but she decided to keep going rather than risk turning back for Roy.

Ch. 118A Duel of Fate

Roy unleashed the Thunder Beast across the battlefield, leaving him badly injured but alive, while Aisling defeated Walter and headed toward the storm. As Roy tried to leave the scorched plains, Elias arrived by motorboat and spoke to him.

  • Roy's Thunder Beast attack devastated the plains, killing or incapacitating hundreds and leaving Roy with a scorched left hand and no strength to fight.

  • Elias exposed Roy's lie and offered to spare him and Aisling if Roy killed Cedric and made an Unbreakable Vow.
