Roy and Aisling walked in silence across the endless plains. As the sun slowly sank below the horizon, darkness swallowed the entire grassland.
Aisling had gone more than a day without food or water since being kidnapped. She had gritted her teeth and followed Roy for over an hour, but exhaustion finally overwhelmed her, and she collapsed onto the grass.

Roy stopped and looked at Aisling, who was still stubbornly holding on despite being sprawled on the ground. He shook his head helplessly.
"I do have a bottle of water. Do you want it?"
Roy pulled out his old, chipped military canteen and handed it to Aisling.
Aisling snatched it from him. She did not even have the energy to disdain Roy as she twisted off the cap and poured the water into her mouth.

Roy took it, shook it in his hand, then put it away and sighed helplessly.
"Great. Now we don't have any water either."
Having replenished some fluids, Aisling recovered a little. She struggled to stand, but her limbs were terribly weak. After several difficult attempts, she gave up completely and found a comfortable position to lie down in the grass.
"Don't you know Apparition? Can't you teleport me away?"
Roy gave a bitter smile at the sight of Aisling lying there like she had given up on life, then shook his head.
"I don't know Side-Along Apparition. If I tried to take you with me and made a mistake, I might dismember you. Besides, this is America. There isn't even a destination for me to Apparate to. It's not like I can just teleport straight back to
