"Stupefy! Impedimenta! Diffindo! Reducto!"
Inside Gringotts' security passage, built into a sheer cliff, a mysterious man in a white mask wielded two wands. He swept through the remaining Goblin Guards like a gale through fallen leaves, knocking them all unconscious in seconds. Before they could mount any real resistance, the door to the upper-level security control center stood open to Roy.
"Good. They didn't get a chance to sound the alarm. Looks like Aisling and the others drew most of the upper-level guards down to the ground floor. Now, how do I shut off the alarms for the upper vaults?"
Roy stepped over the goblin guards sprawled across the floor and entered a vast cavern carved from the cliff through the staff passage.
A towering Alchemical Composite stood deep inside the cavern, its low hum never ceasing. Hundreds of levers of every shape protruded from the machine, giving the security terminal a distinctly steampunk look. Unfortunately, Roy had no idea how to operate it.
He circled the enormous machine several times. It was so wide that a dozen people could barely have wrapped their arms around it, and he still couldn't work out what all those levers did.
Roy picked up the Security System Operations Manual from a nearby shelf and skimmed a few pages crammed with Gobbledegook. The book might as well have been covered in meaningless scribbles. He promptly tossed it into a bin in the corner.
"What the hell? Goblins speak English all the time. Why write their manual in this gibberish?"
After discarding the manual, Roy turned to the goblin guards lying unconscious across the floor.
"Imperius Curse."
Roy strode past one of the stunned guards and casually fired a blue spell from his wand. The goblin's body floated up as though gravity had released it.
