Background / History

Cedric met Roy Smee at Ollivanders while purchasing his first wand. The two immediately got along, and Cedric promised to write to Roy after leaving with his mother. Dumbledore described him as “a fine child.” 3

Before Hogwarts, Cedric prepared extensively for school, previewing first-year material, practicing Transfiguration, and helping his parents with household work. His diligence continued aboard the Hogwarts Express, where he and Aisling discussed Transfiguration beyond the first-year curriculum. 11 12
