Background / History

Rachel's biological mother, Arella—later living as Angela—was once a cult saintess who helped summon Trigon. After becoming pregnant with his child and learning that he was a dimensional demon god, she fled with Rachel to Azarath, sealed Rachel's memories, and eventually returned with her to Earth. 148 149

Rachel later remembered studying Azarath Magic as a child and witnessing Azarath's destruction by Trigon. The recovered memories revealed that she is half human and half demon, carrying Trigon's bloodline. 149

Before joining Li Ang's household, Rachel lived with an adoptive mother and was exceptionally quiet and timid. In Detroit, she began seeing another version of herself in mirrors, suffered nightmares, and survived an attempted cult sacrifice when the cultist turned to ash. 52 60
