Martial Souls are awakened at the age of six. Their forms are innumerable, and people who cultivate the associated power system are known as Soul Masters 47.

• A Martial Soul certificate records an awakened Martial Soul and its innate Soul Power; Jun Lin’s certificate identified his mutated Blue Light Martial Soul and Innate Full Soul Power 1.

• Ah Yin possessed three purple and two black Soul Rings after reaching level 53; her Blue Silver Emperor’s life attribute allowed her to heal the injured Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect group 9 14.
• Tang Hao displayed a yellow-yellow-purple-purple-black-black configuration at level 61 51.

A Martial Soul’s apparent form does not necessarily reflect its potential.

• Blue Light was labeled a “trash” Martial Soul because of its faint, simple appearance, yet Jun Lin possessed Innate Full Soul Power 1.
• Jun Lin’s ordinary light-element Martial Soul evolved into the Lord of Elements through his beginner gift pack, increasing his innate Soul Power by ten levels to level 20 3.
• The Lord of Elements grants immense Soul Power reserves and elemental control, but its cultivation drawback is described as even more severe than that of Ultimate Martial Souls 8.

Inherited Burdens

Martial Souls may transmit harmful traits through a family line.

• The Dugu Family’s inherited Martial Soul poison threatens Dugu Bo and his descendants 67 68.
• Jun Lin presents three possible treatments: evolving the Martial Soul with Immortal Herbs, condensing Poison-Attribute Soul Cores, or using a Detoxification Pill that would destroy the user’s poison arts 68.
• Even evolving the family Martial Soul carries the risk that later descendants may suffer degeneration again 68.

Combat Applications

Elemental Weapon Creation

Jun Lin combines the Lord of Elements, Soul Power, surrounding elemental energy, and spiritual power to create a Soul Power version of the King’s Treasury 6.
