Background / History

Qian Daoliu led Spirit Hall’s Worship Hall as its First Offering and maintained a daily prayer ritual before the Angel God Statue. His devotion to the Angel God was absolute; even urgent intelligence was made to wait until the ritual had concluded, provided Qian Renxue was not in danger. He led six other offerings whom he regarded as brothers. 63 64

Before the Angel God’s fall was revealed, Qian Daoliu quietly tolerated Bibi Dong’s aggressive leadership. He allowed her to accumulate public resentment through Spirit Hall’s harsher policies while planning for Qian Renxue to eventually replace her as Pope, reform the organization, and emerge as its savior. 65

Qian Renxue’s intelligence concerning Yun Duo, the continent’s disasters, and a mysterious powerful figure caused Qian Daoliu to reconsider Spirit Hall’s position. He convened the offerings to assess Yun Duo’s Twin Martial Souls, Innate Full Soul Power, possible divine inheritance, and potential value as either ally or enemy. 64 66 67

The Goddess of Life’s arrival transformed his priorities. When Azure Luan and Mighty Lion offended Yun Duo, Qian Daoliu accepted responsibility and offered himself for punishment to protect them. He then learned that the Angel God had fallen and that Qian Renxue was her reincarnation. The revelation shattered his composure, but his grief became a fierce resolve to protect Qian Renxue and restore her path to godhood. 69 70 71

After the Goddess of Life enhanced the Worship Hall, Qian Daoliu prepared a coordinated purge of Bibi Dong’s faction. He assigned the six offerings to protect civilians, contain the Titled Elders, and secure Spirit City before personally attacking Bibi Dong with Angel Judgment. Although he overwhelmed her in battle, the Rakshasa God intervened on Bibi Dong’s behalf. 72 77 81 85

Bibi Dong was subsequently removed as Pope, and Qian Daoliu took control of Spirit Hall. He treated the later departure of Bibi Dong’s followers as manageable, ordering an orderly six-month transfer of their duties while directing Golden Crocodile and Light Feather to protect Qian Renxue and eliminate threats around her. 87 92

He later sent Yun Duo a letter offering Spirit Hall’s aid, asking about Yun Duo’s attitude toward the Heaven Dou imperial family, and proposing that Spirit Hall and the Angel Race serve as Qian Renxue’s dowry if Yun Duo married only her. 109 111

Qian Daoliu is composed, authoritative, and intensely devout. He presides calmly over disputes among the offerings and prioritizes Angel God worship even when major political intelligence is awaiting him. 63 64

He is also a patient political strategist. His willingness to let Bibi Dong bear the blame for Spirit Hall’s unpopular actions shows that he plans far beyond immediate conflicts, particularly when preparing Qian Renxue’s future succession. 65

His strongest attachment is to Qian Renxue. Learning that she is the Angel God’s reincarnation turns his protectiveness into near-fanatical resolve; he is willing to sacrifice himself, Spirit Hall, or the Angel Race if doing so secures her safety and future godhood. 70 71
